This Privacy Policy applies to the FOKUS app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices. This service is provided "AS IS".
We do not collect, transmit, distribute, or sell your personal data.
FOKUS is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not have our own servers. 100% of your data remains locally on your device. Anything you do within the app, including setting focus sessions, creating to-do lists, or utilizing strict mode, is saved only on your local device storage.
To provide its core functionality, FOKUS requires certain Android system permissions. All processing for these permissions happens locally on your device:
* Accessibility Service API: FOKUS uses the Accessibility Service to detect when you open a distracting app and blocks it by overlaying a screen. We do not monitor your keystrokes, read your messages, or track your interactions outside of detecting the package name of the app you are currently using to enforce your focus sessions.
* Device Administrator (Strict Mode): If you enable Strict Mode, FOKUS uses Device Admin rights to prevent you from uninstalling the app or bypassing focus sessions. We do not use this permission to wipe your device, change your password, or collect hardware data.
* Package Usage Stats: Used to track your screen time and app usage to provide you with insights. This data is only visible to you on your device and is never uploaded.
* System Alert Window (Draw Over Other Apps): Used to draw the block screen over restricted apps.
* Camera / Storage: If you choose to personalize the app (e.g., custom backgrounds or profile pictures), the app may request camera or storage access. These images are kept locally.
Because FOKUS operates entirely offline without an external database, we do not integrate with third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising SDKs that harvest your data.
Since FOKUS does not collect or transmit any personal data, the Application is safe and eligible for users of all ages. We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13, because we do not solicit data from anyone.
Because all data is stored on your device, you are in complete control of your data. You can delete all your data at any time by clearing the Application's data in your Android Settings or by uninstalling the Application.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.

FOKUS is an offline, local-only application. This means we do not host your data on a cloud server.
* Data Loss: If you uninstall the app, clear the app data, or lose your phone, your settings, statistics, and to-do lists will be permanently deleted. We cannot recover this data for you.
* Device Security: It is your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the Application secure.
FOKUS includes a "Strict Mode" feature that utilizes Android's Device Administrator permission.
* By enabling Strict Mode, you intentionally restrict your own ability to uninstall the Application or bypass active focus sessions.
* You acknowledge that while Strict Mode is active, you may be unable to access blocked apps or uninstall FOKUS until the session expires. We are not liable for any missed communications, emergencies, or inconveniences caused by apps blocked by your own configuration.
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted.
We may update the Application to ensure compatibility with new Android versions or to add features. You will need to download the updates if you want to keep using the Application at its best. We may also stop providing the Application, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice.
The Application is provided "AS IS". We are not responsible for any damage to your device, loss of data, or other issues that may arise from using the Application. We cannot take responsibility for the Application not working at full functionality if your device lacks the necessary hardware or if the operating system restricts background services.
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
