Naval architecture is the field of study that interests me most. Ever since I learned that my grandfather was an Electronics technician for the US Navy it has always stuck with me, engraved in my head even.
After my grandfather told me all the amazing things he experienced but also the benefits my mind was set. I've always considered myself to be a complacent academic worker not showing much interest in school, but with this new found interest it stimulated the idea of learning and growing as much as I could about the topics of Naval architecture.
I have a strong talent for creative illustrations and physics which play a substantial role in becoming one step closer to achieving my goal. I am currently taking a Highschool level physics class which will teach me needed skills to be proficient in obtaining my future aspirations. Additionally, I have taken a Highschool level art class with art also being one of my main hobbies, I partake in mostly sketching and illustrating different graphic designs whether that be animals or projects for school. Along with an AP computer science class that widened my horizon on technology and code. The Dr. James A. Forrest career and technology center which I attend for a two year engineering program, also plays a great role in the construction of needed parts and aspects of being a Naval Architect.
Since freshman year of high school I have been a part of the spikeball club which taught me many skills but the most useful in my eyes was teamwork. While you play spike ball you need to have team work and great coordination with your teammates so you can be victorious no matter how tough your opponents are. I also have recently started working at a restaurant as a paid dishwasher which requires teamwork with your other coworkers to get tasks completed. On the other hand, being a dishwasher has taught me not to be scared of work and accept it and push through my adversities I experience from my work. These extracurricular activities have overall pushed me to be a better person and taught me to be a better person.
When I eventually graduate high school I plan on joining the military for the benefits and experiences I will obtain from it. While I'm in the military I plan to do some sort of online college which substantially decreases my learning costs while still getting my college degree. Although this could all change in a heart beat so I try not to be permanently set on these specific ideals.
If I do end up achieving my goal I hope to help soldiers in foreign lands and individuals that protect the globe by creating new life saving innovations and making the world a utopia for all different types of people.
