The club has men and women who enjoy the sport of recreational cycling. We don't race. We leisurely ride the back roads of Sumner, Robertson, Davidson, Macon, Trousdale, Smith, and Wilson Counties. In addition to rides during the week, the Club schedules over-night rides to Tennessee State Parks, B&B's, regional bike trails to which non-riding significant others are invited to join.
Our members range in age from middle-twenties to eighty and in size from tiny to 360 pounds. If you want to ride and can peddle for thirty miles, we have a ride group that will suit your skill.
Bicycle riding has inherent risks of injury. ALL participants ride solely at their recognizance of that risk and that no other participant or the club assumes any responsibility of "due care" for them.
The Club has no dues or formal meetings. We casually meet at post-ride re-hydration or over the Blog. We have no formal organization, but appreciate every member taking his/her turn leading or participating in the leadership of some aspect of our club activities.
We have NO FEES - NADA! We keep our operating costs next to ZERO by using FREE STUFF
Most of our rides have a post-ride social event. Feel free to join us to get better acquainted and re-fuel.
We do ask that you:
Are an adult. Minor children may join a ride only if accompanied on the ride by an adult who assumes full responsibility for the child.
Introduce yourself to the Ride Leader and describe your skill level and knowledge of the area. If you don't plan riding the entire course please tell the leader who tries to keep track of all riders to assure no one is dropped.
Bring the right equipment. You must have a helmet and, if riding in conditions with limited visibility, TN State Law requires that you have a bright front-light and rear reflector.
Obey all traffic laws and ride in a generally accepted safe manner so as potentially not to subject any participant to injury.

The FOGBEES were formed in early 2006 and was one of the results of the Hendersonville Greenways Subcommittee of the Hendersonville Tomorrow Committee tasked by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
The name FOGBEES derived from a negative comment by Hendersonville Mayor Scott Foster. While Tom Evans, Chairman was presenting the goals of the Hendersonville Greenways Committee (HGC) in May 2006 to the Board of Aldermen and Mayor, Mayor Foster retorted that HGC was only interested in building facilities for high-speed bikers.
Only one member of the HGC, Frank Bowyer IV, was a high-speed biker. One member, Cathy Haley, didn't ride a bike and the rest of the committee -- Jamie Clary, Bruce Day, Doug Depew, Tom Evans, and David Hardin -- were far from high-speed bikers. Tom said, "We more like fat old guys on bikes." Bruce liked the term and frequently abbreviated FOGB in his group communications. That became FOGBees.
Also, YAZOO was in the club's origin. When this group was first evolving, some of the members, mostly Brett Dauer served "Growlers" of Yazoo beer at his home as our Beer after Biking social. Before we called ourselves FOGBEES, someone had the idea of calling ourselves the Yazoo Patrol. Maybe the brewery might offer us with free beer in exchange for the immense publicity associated with such a discriminating group.
When the idea was published, Justin Mitchell, a past chairman of the Hendersonville Greenways and avid mountain biker emailed us -- the idea was already taken.
