2. Information Collection and Use
FocusFlow is built with a strict offline-first and privacy-by-design approach:
• No Account Required: You do not need to register, log in, or provide an email, username, phone number, or password to use FocusFlow.
• No Personal Data Collected: We do not collect, harvest, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
• No Telemetry or Tracking: The Application does not contain any third-party analytics libraries, tracking SDKs, or advertising identifiers.
• No Network Transmission: FocusFlow does not transmit your tasks, timer history, or preferences to any external server or cloud service. The app functions entirely offline.
3. Local Data Storage
All data generated within FocusFlow remains strictly on your device:
• Daily Tasks: Task titles, completion statuses, and creation timestamps are stored securely in a local SQLite database (via Android Room) on your device's internal storage.
• Pomodoro History: Completed focus sessions and daily counters are stored locally on your device.
• Settings & Preferences: Your customized timer intervals, alert choices (sound/vibration/notification), and theme modes are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences.
4. Data Deletion and Control
Because your data is saved solely on your local device:
• You can delete individual tasks at any time from within the Tasks screen.
• You can erase all data by using Android system settings: Settings > Apps > FocusFlow > Storage > Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the application immediately and permanently removes all stored local database records.
5. Device Permissions & Hardware Usage
FocusFlow uses the absolute minimum system permissions necessary to operate its core features:
• Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE):
Used to trigger a gentle haptic pulse when a focus session or break timer completes. You can toggle this on or off in the app's Settings at any time.
• Notifications (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
Used on Android 13+ devices solely to deliver local timer alerts when a session concludes while the app is minimized. This permission is completely optional, is never requested on app startup, and requires explicit user activation in the Settings screen. The app remains fully functional if this permission is denied.
6. Children's Privacy
FocusFlow does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
7. Third-Party Services
FocusFlow does not incorporate third-party advertising SDKs, social media plug-ins, or remote database services.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
