FocusCutter (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension designed to help students and productivity users read articles in a clean, distraction-free environment.
We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.
The Extension only works locally in your browser.
Any articles saved via the “Read Later” feature are stored only in your local browser storage, not on any external servers.
FocusCutter requests the following permissions to function properly:
activeTab & scripting – Needed to apply reading mode and remove distractions (ads, sidebars, popups) when you click the extension icon.
<all_urls> Host Permission – Required so the extension can clean and format articles on any website you visit.
FocusCutter only uses this access to adjust webpage appearance.
No browsing history, personal information, or login data is collected.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.
Since no personal data is collected, nothing is shared outside your device.
All processing happens locally in your browser.
