🔹 Permissions Explained

FocusCutter requests the following permissions to function properly:

1. activeTab & scripting – Needed to apply reading mode and remove distractions (ads, sidebars, popups) when you click the extension icon.

2. <all_urls> Host Permission – Required so the extension can clean and format articles on any website you visit.

   • FocusCutter only uses this access to adjust webpage appearance.

   • No browsing history, personal information, or login data is collected.

🔹 Data Sharing

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties.

• Since no personal data is collected, nothing is shared outside your device.

🔹 Security

• All processing happens locally in your browser.

• No external servers or APIs are used in the current version (MVP).
