In Budapest, Hungary, I visited the Danube River, which connects the two parts of the city: Buda and Pest. The photo above shows the view of this river from the city road at night. This photo has a more lively and social atmosphere with the lights of the city and the people on the street. Closer to the city, restaurants, and parks of the city, this photo better reflects my experience with Hungarian culture. Although the colors are still overall cool, the photo above contrasts with the photo below which shows a higher view of the city during the day. There are gray and faded colors, leafless trees, eroded rocks, and even the color of the subject’s hair is faded. This photo conveys a more nostalgic feeling, reflecting the bitter sweet connection with Hungary that I had.
