This Privacy Policy explains how Focus Craft ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use it. We wrote this policy to reflect what the App does today.
Focus Craft's own tasks, notes, focus sessions, statistics, and settings are stored only on your device. We do not run a server and we do not have user accounts.
Focus Craft also displays advertisements through Google AdMob to free users and offers Premium subscriptions through Google Play Billing. These services are provided by Google and may process certain information as described below.
We do not operate a server through which we collect or access your tasks, notes, session content, or other personal content.
Premium subscribers do not see advertisements in Focus Craft.
Focus Craft stores information that you create or generate while using the App, including:
Tasks, categories, and to-do items
Notes
Focus/Pomodoro session history and timer information
Statistics derived from your activity, including streaks, completed sessions, counters, achievements, and missions
App preferences and settings, such as themes, reminder settings, timer settings, and similar preferences
This information is stored locally on your device using a local SQLite database and app preferences.
Focus Craft does not operate a server that receives or stores this content. Your tasks, notes, session content, and statistics are not transmitted by Focus Craft to our own servers.
If you uninstall the App or clear its data, locally stored information may be deleted unless you have exported a backup or your device's operating system separately backs up application data.
Focus Craft allows you to export your data as a .json file or a raw database file.
You choose where the backup is saved using your device's file picker. You can later import a backup using the same mechanism.
Focus Craft does not receive a copy of files that you export to a location you choose, and we do not operate a server that stores those backups.
If you share an exported backup file with another person or service, that sharing is controlled by you and is outside Focus Craft's control.
Focus Craft can schedule local reminder notifications, such as task reminders and other alerts you configure.
These notifications are scheduled and generated on your device using the device's notification system. Focus Craft does not send notification content to a Focus Craft server.
The App uses Android's boot-completed mechanism so scheduled reminders can be restored after the device restarts.
You can allow or deny notification permissions through your device settings.
Depending on the features you use and the Android version of your device, Focus Craft uses the following Android capabilities:
Notifications — to display reminders and alerts you configure.
Exact alarms / scheduled reminders — to help reminders occur at the time you select.
Boot-completed mechanism — to restore scheduled reminders after a device restart.
Internet access and network state — required for Google AdMob advertising and Google Play subscription-related communication.
Advertising identifier access — where applicable, Google's advertising SDK may access advertising identifiers and other identifiers used by the SDK for advertising and measurement purposes. This is handled by Google's SDK rather than by Focus Craft's own servers. You can manage advertising identifiers and related advertising settings through your device's system settings, where available.
File access through the device file picker — used when you actively choose to export or import a backup.
Focus Craft does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
Focus Craft displays a banner advertisement to free users through Google AdMob, part of Google's Mobile Ads SDK.
Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.
Focus Craft does not operate its own advertising server or build its own advertising profile about you. However, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process certain information for purposes such as advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention.
According to Google's documentation, information that may be collected or shared by the Google Mobile Ads SDK can include:
Your device's IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
App and product interactions, such as app launches and interactions with advertisements
Diagnostic information, such as app performance and related technical information
Device and account identifiers, such as an Android advertising identifier
Google may process this information according to its own privacy practices and policies.

Focus Craft uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where applicable.
Depending on your location and applicable privacy requirements, Google may show a consent message before certain advertising requests are made.
Your choices through Google's consent system can affect whether advertising is personalized.
Focus Craft does not independently determine whether a particular user is subject to a specific regional consent requirement. The applicable consent status is determined through Google's consent system.
Where Google's system requires a privacy-options entry point, Focus Craft provides:
Settings → About & Privacy → Manage ad privacy choices
This allows you to revisit your advertising privacy choices when that option is available.
Advertising data processed through Google AdMob is also subject to Google's own privacy policies and terms.
Focus Craft Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play Billing.
Focus Craft does not receive, process, or store your payment-card details, bank details, or other payment credentials.
Focus Craft receives limited purchase information from Google Play, such as information about the purchased product and its purchase status. The App uses this information to determine and restore Premium entitlement.
Focus Craft may store the resulting Premium entitlement information locally on your device so Premium features and ad-free access can be provided.
To cancel, change, or manage a subscription, use Manage Subscription in Focus Craft, which opens Google Play, or manage the subscription through the Google Play Store.
Focus Craft cannot cancel or modify a Google Play subscription on your behalf.
Focus Craft is not directed specifically at children.
We do not operate a server that collects or stores children's tasks, notes, sessions, or other locally stored app content.
Advertising shown through Google AdMob is subject to Google's applicable policies and safeguards.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
Focus Craft does not operate a server that stores your tasks, notes, session content, or statistics.
However, using certain Focus Craft features involves third-party Google services:
Google AdMob — for advertising to free users
Google Play Billing — for Premium subscription purchases
Google User Messaging Platform — for applicable advertising consent and privacy choices
These services process information according to their own policies.
Your tasks, notes, focus-session content, and statistics are not sent by Focus Craft to these services.
You can control your locally stored Focus Craft content by:
Deleting individual tasks, notes, sessions, or other items within the App
Clearing the App's data through your device settings
Exporting a backup whenever you choose
Uninstalling the App
You can also manage your advertising privacy choices through the available in-app Google privacy-options control and manage your Premium subscription through Google Play.
Device-level backup features provided by your phone manufacturer or operating system may operate separately from Focus Craft and are governed by the policies of those providers.
If Focus Craft's data practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and revise the effective date above.
The app version shown near the top of this policy identifies the user-facing version of Focus Craft to which the policy applies.
