FobSOS PrivacyPolicy

FobSOS (“we”, “our”, “the app”) helps drivers start push-button vehicles when a key fob battery is dead. This policy explains what information the app handles.
Summary
We do not require an account.
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or location.
Vehicle rescue guides are stored on your device and work offline.
Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store credit or debit card numbers.
Information stored on your device
The app may store the following only on your phone:
Whether you unlocked the full guide or a single vehicle brand (purchase state)
Whether you completed the intro onboarding
Anonymous payment reference IDs returned by Razorpay after a successful purchase
This data stays on your device unless you uninstall the app or clear app storage. We do not sync this data to our own servers.
Information sent over the internet
When you choose to purchase an unlock, the app connects to Razorpay to:
Create a payment order
Show secure checkout in a payment screen
Verify that the payment was completed successfully
Razorpay may collect payment and device information according to their own privacy policy:

We do not receive or store your full card number.
Information we do not collect
GPS or location data
Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
Vehicle VIN or license plate
Analytics or advertising identifiers (the app does not use ad SDKs)
Children
FobSOS is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its storage. We do not operate user accounts or cloud profiles.
Security
Payments use Razorpay’s secure checkout.
Purchase verification uses cryptographic signatures.
Android cloud backup for app data is disabled.
Your rights
Because we do not operate accounts, you control your data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in your phone settings.
For payment disputes, contact Razorpay or your card issuer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do.
