Area Coordinators of the KALAHI-CIDSS program from Bohol and Cebu gathered on Friday, May 23, 2025, for a technical session and planning workshop on the Participatory Organizational Capacity Assessment (POCA). The Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) team facilitated the activity.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to welcome two new members of the RPMO team: the newly appointed Supervising Administrative Officer and Community Development Officer.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, sector heads and officers of the KALAHI-CIDSS RPMO 7 gathered to discuss salient updates and plans for the projects under different modalities.
The whole day meeting was held in a hotel in Cebu City.
Among the updates discussed were about the conduct of Sustainability Evaluation for sustainable projects, Program Financial Update, and the coffee table book summarizing the legacy of KALAHI-CIDSS.
DSWD brings National ‘Panahon ng Pagkilos’ Project Conference to Central Visayas
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducts a five-day national conference and training workshop in Central Visayas as part of the implementation preparations for the Philippine Community Resilience Project (PCRP) - Panahon ng Pagkilos.
Held from April 7 to 12, 2025, in Mandaue City, Cebu, the event features the National Safeguards Reorientation and Operations Manual Consultation Workshop, which focuses on reviewing and enhancing the project's Social and Environmental Safeguards Manual.
A fellowship night titled Gabi ng Kultura was held on April 9, 2025, to showcase the essence of the new program through cultural presentations. This celebration not only fostered camaraderie among participants but also served as an avenue to promoote the core concepts and key elements of PCRP-Panahon ng Pagkilos.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD 7), through the KALAHI-CIDSS Regional Program Monitoring Office (RPMO), has been recognized for its outstanding commitment, exemplary performance, and dedication to the effective implementation of programs and services.
This achievement has significantly contributed to the overall success of the KALAHI-CIDSS Program for fiscal year 2024.
The award, under the Large Cluster category, was conferred by the KALAHI-CIDSS National Program Management Office on March 14, 2025, at Apo View Hotel in Davao City.
Additionally, RPMO 7 was recognized for producing the Best Process Documentation Report for Visayas.
"Among a highly competitive selection of exceptional entries, your report stood out for its originality, clarity, and relevance—effectively capturing the essence of the Process of Community-Driven Development (CDD)," reads a portion of the citation.
The KC National Program Management Office (NPMO) gave the award during the Organizational and Financial Management Workshop held in Davao City last week. KALAHI-CIDSS Officer-in-Charge Engr. Helen Ybañez, Community Development Officer Joelito Yana, Financial Analysts Joan Colonia and Clarence Inoferio, and Training Specialist Maribeth Cabalda received the awards.
DSWD 7 KALAHI-CIDSS champions 7S method for better workplace efficiency
The KALAHI-CIDSS Regional Management Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD 7) promotes good housekeeping by emphasizing the 7S method.
On Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025, Kris D. Andales, Administrative Officer V, Head- General Services Section, led the discussion on 7S, reinforcing the importance of following the 7S principles virtually. KALAHI-CIDSS RPMO and Area Coordinating Team staff attended the online discussion.
The 7S method, which stands for "Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety, and Spirit," helps optimize the physical workspace through proper identification and storage of office items, helping government workers become more efficient and effective.
By designating proper places for essential items and organizing and labeling them systematically, government workers can contribute to improved productivity and the overall quality of their work.
