The Fostering NGSS Implementation Protocol (FNIP) was developed under a grant from the California Partnership for Math + Science Education for elementary classroom teachers trying to implement the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) while also implementing other content area standards. This new tool is comprised of a step-by-step protocol, planning template, and additional resources that were developed and curated specifically to meet the needs of elementary classroom teachers at various comfort levels with NGSS. Designed to help teachers plan units of instruction that incorporate other content areas into their science units, this tool will simplify implementation. This planning tool can be used by teachers individually or in groups, depending on teacher needs.
