On the 10th – 11th May 2023, FMS Pahang gathered at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Genting Highlands for our first technical meeting of 2023. Over the years, the number of FMS Pahang has been increasing. However, due to Pahang’s wide geographical area, we were not able to meet up physically as often, hence we took this opportunity to get to know each other and discuss our vision and mission ahead. Furthermore, we took this opportunity to update ourselves on non-communicable diseases by inviting distinguished speakers in the field. Among the few agendas that we discussed during the meeting were the planning for our yearly community project, presentation on “Subspecialties Pathway for Family Medicine Specialist” by Dr. Radziah Abd Rashid and sharing session by Dr. Sham Su Lia on “Maneuvering Our Responsibility as Clinician and Head of the Clinic”. 

Later in the evening, we held a farewell party at Swiss Garden Hotel to express our gratitude to our beloved Dr. Farhana Md Yusof Dr. Chloe Loke. They have transferred back to Negeri Sembilan and Kuala Lumpur respectively. Dr. Farhana and Dr. Chloe has passionately served the rural area of Pahang since 2019 and we wished them the best in their future endeavors.
