Executive to the CEO

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Executive to the CEO is a unique position for a candidate to be directly mentored by our Founder / CEO, Ajaita Shah. They will be working with her directly, focusing on key strategic initiatives including Fundraising, Stakeholder Reporting, Strategy, Modeling, Communications, and Coordinating events and meetings. In order to qualify for this event, we require candidates to ensure they have a strong understanding of the CEO, her background, and be ready for a high-intensive experience. Candidates should be good at multi-tasking, ready for multiple-time zones, and good at working independently or remotely if needed. Responsibilities Include:

1. Applications (CSR/Donor/Award)

    • Generates proposals and supporting documents in response to applications
    • Timely submission of well-researched, well written and well-documented CSR/donor/Award applications
    • Maintains and implements application calendar activities
    • Coordinates with government, corporate, foundations and other funders for application related matters
    • Acts as a liaison with internal staff
    • Identifies opportunities and new program areas to match Frontier Markets’ priorities using research tool
    • Serves as a liaison to all the CSR/Donor/Award application agencies/organizations
    • Follows up and tracks the status of the submitted applications and updating the internal relevant stakeholders on regular basis

2. Financial Modelling

    • Building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics
    • Conducting Scenario Analysis based on macro and micro factors that will help in accessing risk
    • Ensuring accurate modeling and developing new transaction models and enhancing the existing models.
    • Recommending and Implementing process for improvements to budget and prepare forecast for company.
    • Identifying the key financial and non-financial risks, recommending actions for mitigation of those risks.
    • Applying appropriate sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment actions.
    • Analyzing and identifying data requirements related derivation rules and model tracking.

3. Impact Measurement & Evaluation

a. Support all M&E initiatives for assigned projects. This will include:

    • Designing impact & measurement plans
    • Executing & monitoring plans

b. System Development

    • Support Project Team and Leadership in creating a framework and procedures for the monitoring and evaluation of project activities.
    • Support the Managers in defining and implementing the key project performance indicators (KPI) as well as monitoring them throughout the duration of the projects.
    • Support project team on ways to properly document, organize and capture progress.
    • Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures under the supervision of the Team (eg. logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart, M&E manuals)

c. Data Management and Analysis

    • Keep abreast of developments in grant/program changes and progress in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performances and results.
    • Support Senior Management Team to ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Support and participate in program and project evaluation

d. Communication & Reporting

    • Support Team and Senior Management Team in reviewing donor reports to ensure high quality reports are submitted on time for grants/programs.
    • Assist the team in establishing log frames, M&E work plans, and targets during the drafting donor project proposals as well as throughout project implementation

e. CEO Coordination

    • Scheduling meetings for the CEO
    • Taking minutes of meetings and reviewing meetings with CEO
    • Coordinating travel schedules for the CEO
    • Managing email for the CEO


QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Graduate/Post Graduate in Finance/ Social Sciences/Statistics from a top B School
  2. Atleast 3-4 years of experience in Project/Program Management as well as Measurement & Evaluation
  3. Experience working in a Social Enterprise preferred (not mandatory)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
  • Proficiency in English & Hindi
  • Excellent knowledge of Office IT packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Should have a good understanding of project management and willingness/ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to work irregular hours when the job dictates (such as for events, in emergency response times etc.)
  • Strong knowledge about Accounting, finance & valuation
  • Self-starter able to come up with solutions as suggestions rather than bringing questions you expect someone else to answer for you
