F M Javed Mehedi Shamrat is an Assistant Professor and Head in Charge of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Khwaja Yunus Ali University, Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Computer Science by Research at the University of Malaya (World QS Rank 58), Kuala Lumpur, under the prestigious Malaysian International Scholarship, where he also served as a Graduate Research Assistant.

He previously held academic positions at Daffodil International University and the European University of Bangladesh. He currently serves as a Remote Research Assistant at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and previously contributed as a Research Assistant at The University of Queensland (World QS Rank 42), Australia, working on Artificial Intelligence in Medical Diagnosis projects.

He is a recipient of the Best Student Research Award from Daffodil International University. He is ranked among the top 1% of computer science researchers in Bangladesh by the AD Scientific Index and among the top 2% of scientists worldwide according to the Stanford University global ranking.

He has authored and co-authored 77 Scopus indexed publications in leading IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, MDPI, and PubMed indexed journals and conferences. His research has accumulated more than 3,600 citations, with an h index of 31 and an i10 index of 54 as of January 2026.

In addition, he has reviewed more than 600 manuscripts for Web of Science indexed Q1 and Q2 journals, with formal recognition from Web of Science. He regularly serves as a peer reviewer for major international publishers including IEEE, Springer Nature, Elsevier, Wiley, SAGE, Frontiers, MDPI, and Taylor and Francis.

His research interests span artificial intelligence, deep learning, medical image analysis, bioinformatics, Internet of Things, neural networks, and data science. He maintains active international research collaborations with scholars from Australia, Malaysia, China, Canada, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Bangladesh.
