Ready to fly?

Join our Discord server and create a free Newsky account. Your pilot name can either be real or fictional, and if it is fictional, we recommend it resembles something similar to your Discord username.

After creating a Newsky account, apply to join the virtual airline here.

Before doing a flight for us, download the Newsky Client by visiting the hyperlink or clicking in the bottom-left corner in the website.

Sign in to your Newsky account in the application.

On the home page, there is a button that says "BOOK FLIGHT". This will allow you to choose the flight type from either "FREE FLIGHT" or "Schedule". Scheduled flights provide 25% more revenue and 10% more passengers but must be added manually, therefore you could either ask a VA admin to add one for you or just perform a free flight instead.

Upon choosing your flight type, select "FlyTense" as the airline you'd like to fly for and then fill out your flight information. Be sure to have an accurate off-block time (start of pushback or taxi) and flight time. The flight number can be found in the FlyTense Discord server by running the command -route ICAO ICAO with the airports of your choice. Press "BOOK FLIGHT" when your information is accurately filled out.

When ready to perform the flight, select "Review flight info" in the "My Flights" section under the flight you have booked. When loaded with the correct aircraft and spawned at the proper airport, press "START FLIGHT" to begin flight logging. All FlyTense flights must be flown in accordance to the SOP which can be found here. Pilots should also read through the Newsky rating system guidelines to ensure flights are barely or not penalized at all.

In our Discord server, go to the #bot-commands channel and run the -setbase command with the airport you'd like to set as your base. Example: -setbase KJFK

After setting your base, run the -route command and you will now have a route to fly. If you're not satisfied with the route, run the -route command to come up with another one. Running the -route command also gives you a flight number.

This information can be used to book a flight on Newsky as shown in the above section, "HOW TO JOIN AND FLY FOR FLYTENSE".
