Our focus as a non-profit is to apply for grant funding and participate in other fund-raising activities that supports the activities mentioned above.   All activities are approved by the all-volunteer Fly Salem Foundation Board of Directors.    Other volunteers will also participate in carrying out the activities we support.   These could include assisting in preparing grant applications, assisting at other fund-raising events, reaching out to perspective donors and providing labor for projects.   The Fly Salem Foundation will focus 100% of its time on supporting aviation in Salem.   Activities will occur throughout the year as opportunities present themselves.     The Foundation plans to actively seek grant opportunities and offer resources to aviation related activities.     The majority of the activities will occur in Salem Oregon or the surrounding area.    Some activities may occur elsewhere if we are required to conduct a presentation related to a grant request.      All of the activity will be funded through grant receipts and charitable contributions from individuals who support aviation.
