TERMS OF SERVICE FOR PILOT DASHBOARD

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using Pilot Dashboard ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any provision of
these terms, you must not use the App.
2. LICENSE GRANT
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the
App solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
YOU MAY NOT:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access source code
- Sell, rent, lease, or distribute the App
- Remove any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
3. DATA & LOGBOOKS
YOUR DATA:
- You own all flight log data you create in the App
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data
- The App stores data locally on your device by default
- If you enable Cloud Backup, a copy is stored in YOUR Google Drive account
- We are not responsible for lost data due to device malfunction, app
uninstallation, or Google Drive service disruptions
ACCURACY:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all flight information entered
- The App is provided as a personal logbook tool for tracking purposes only
- Consult official sources for verification and compliance needs
EXPORT:
- You may export your logs as PDF for personal use
- You may not use exported logs for commercial purposes without permission
- Exported data remains your property
AIRCRAFT & CURRENCY MANAGEMENT:
- Aircraft profile data and currency tracking records are your responsibility
- You are responsible for verifying all currency and qualification status
- The App is a reference tool, not an official aviation registry
AVIATION TOOLS:
- E6B Calculator results are provided for planning and reference purposes only
- Density altitude, TAS, ISA deviation, and weight/balance calculations are
tools for pilot reference
- You are responsible for verifying all calculations with official sources
- The App does not replace official aviation publications or performance data
4. CLOUD BACKUP SERVICE
4.1 OPTIONAL FEATURE
Cloud Backup is an optional feature that is OFF by default. You choose to enable or disable it at any time from Settings. Enabling it constitutes your consent to
the data practices described below and in the Privacy Policy.
4.2 GOOGLE ACCOUNT REQUIREMENT
To use Cloud Backup, you must have a valid Google account and agree to Google's Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms) and Privacy Policy
(https://policies.google.com/privacy). We are not responsible for changes to Google's services, outages, or policy changes that affect backup functionality.
4.3 STORAGE IN YOUR GOOGLE DRIVE
When Cloud Backup is enabled:
- A backup file is stored in YOUR personal Google Drive account
- The backup is placed in a folder named "Pilot Dashboard Backups"
- You retain full ownership of the backup file
- We access only files created by this App (drive.file scope)
- We cannot access, read, or modify any other files in your Google Drive
- Your Google account credentials are handled entirely by Google Sign-In
4.4 BACKUP BEHAVIOR
- Backups occur automatically: on app launch, after data changes (5-second delay), and on manual sync trigger - Automatic backups require an active internet connection
- Backup failures are displayed in the Settings screen
- The first sync after enabling may briefly fail due to authentication token initialization; a manual retry will succeed
4.5 RESTORE BEHAVIOR
- Restoring from a Google Drive backup REPLACES your current local database
- Restore cannot be undone — any data entered since the last backup will be lost
- You are responsible for verifying the backup is current before restoring
4.6 DELETING CLOUD DATA
You may delete your cloud backup at any time by:
- Settings > Cloud Backup > Delete Cloud Data (removes Drive file only), OR
- Deleting "pilot_dashboard_backup.db" directly from Google Drive
Deleting the cloud backup does not affect your local device data.
4.7 REVOKING ACCESS
You may revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and clicking "Remove Access" for
Pilot Dashboard. After revocation, cloud sync will no longer function until you sign in again.
4.8 NO GUARANTEE OF AVAILABILITY
Cloud Backup functionality depends on Google services. We do not guarantee continuous availability of cloud sync. We are not liable for:
- Google Drive service outages or disruptions
- Loss of cloud backup data due to Google account issues
- Changes to Google's API or authentication services
- Failure to sync due to network connectivity issues
5. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS
- PERFORMANCE
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Any defects will be corrected
- The App is compatible with all devices
- Calculator results are 100% accurate
- Currency tracking is complete or current
- Notifications will be delivered reliably
- Cloud Backup will complete successfully on every attempt
- Google Drive backup data will be available at all times
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, we shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunity
- Errors in calculations or flight hour tracking
- Use or reliance on exported logbook data
- Errors in aircraft profile information or currency tracking
- Missed or delayed notifications
- Device damage or data loss
- Loss of cloud backup data due to Google account issues, Drive outages, or revocation of app permissions
- Data loss caused by restoring from an outdated backup
- Unauthorized access to your Google account or Google Drive
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
7. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree NOT to:
- Submit false or misleading flight information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App
- Interfere with app functionality or security
- Create entries for non-aviation purposes
- Share inappropriate content in remarks fields
- Violate any laws while using the App
- Forge flight records or falsify aviation data
- Attempt to access other users' Google Drive data through the App
- Use the App in any way that could harm others or the aviation community
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
APP COMPONENTS:
- The App design, code, and functionality are protected by copyright
- All trademarks and logos are proprietary
- You may not use the App's intellectual property for any unauthorized purpose
YOUR DATA:
- You retain full ownership of your flight log data
- Your Google Drive backup belongs to you and exists in your Google account
- We do not claim ownership of your aviation records
OPEN SOURCE:
The App includes open-source software. Credits and licenses are available in the App. Use of these components is governed by their respective licenses.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
GOOGLE SIGN-IN & GOOGLE DRIVE (optional, for Cloud Backup):
- Subject to Google's Terms of Service: https://policies.google.com/terms
- We are not responsible for Google service changes, outages, or policy updates
- Any issues with your Google account are between you and Google
- Revoke App access at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
WEATHER DATA:
- Provided by aviationweather.gov (NOAA)
- Subject to NOAA's terms and privacy policy
- We are not responsible for weather data accuracy or availability
- Weather information is for reference only
APP STORE:
- Your download is subject to Google Play Store terms and conditions
- Google Play Store policies apply to your use
NOTIFICATIONS:
- Powered by Android notification services
- Delivery is not guaranteed
- Check app settings to verify notification permissions
10. PRIVACY
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Review that document for detailed information
about data collection, Google Sign-In, Cloud Backup data handling, and your rights.

11. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We may update these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of
modified terms.

12. TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
UPON TERMINATION:
- Your license to use the App ends
- You must stop using the App
- Your local data and Google Drive backup remain yours to access and delete
- Provisions that logically survive termination remain in effect
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by applicable international and local laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
INFORMAL RESOLUTION:
Before initiating legal proceedings, contact us at mikealpha19@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution within 30 days.
ARBITRATION:
Any disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court
proceedings, except for claims involving intellectual property rights or privacy
violations.
15. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed while remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
16. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or
representations.

APP IS A PERSONAL LOGBOOK TOOL:
The App is NOT:
- A replacement for official aviation logbooks or records
- Approved or endorsed by any aviation authority (FAA, ICAO, EASA, etc.)
- Official aviation documentation
- A substitute for consulting official aviation regulations
AVIATION COMPLIANCE:
- Use this App as a personal reference and planning tool only
- Maintain official records as required by applicable aviation regulations
- This App is supplemental and not official
- Do not rely on App exports for official or regulatory purposes
CLOUD BACKUP:
- Cloud Backup is a convenience feature, not a certified data archival system
- Always maintain at least one additional backup of critical aviation records
- The App's cloud backup is NOT a substitute for required official logbooks
- We recommend periodically exporting a PDF copy as an additional safeguard
CALCULATOR TOOLS:
- E6B Calculator results are for planning and educational purposes only
- Density altitude, TAS, ISA deviation calculations are reference tools
- Always verify calculations with official sources and performance data
- Do not use as sole basis for critical aviation decisions
NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE:
- The App does not provide medical, legal, or aviation regulatory advice
- Consult qualified aviation professionals for important decisions
- Weather information is for reference only; consult official sources
NOTIFICATION RELIABILITY:
- Reminders are provided on a best-effort basis
- Delivery is not guaranteed
- You are responsible for verifying all important dates and requirements
- Do not rely solely on app notifications for critical compliance
19. FEEDBACK & SUGGESTIONS
IF YOU PROVIDE SUGGESTIONS OR FEEDBACK:
- We may use them without compensation or obligation
- You grant us rights to implement your suggestions
- You represent that feedback is your original work
- We may incorporate feedback into future versions
20. PILOT PROFESSIONALISM
By using this App, you agree to:
- Use it in accordance with professional aviation standards
- Not use it to falsify or fraudulently create aviation records
- Maintain accuracy and integrity in all recorded data
- Understand that aviation safety depends on honest record-keeping
- Not share unauthorized access to the App or your cloud backup
21. CHANGES TO THE APP
We may:
- Update or modify the App at any time
- Add, remove, or change features (including Cloud Backup)
- Discontinue the App with reasonable notice
- Change data storage or export formats
- Update system requirements
Your continued use of the App following such changes constitutes acceptance.
22. PURCHASE INFORMATION
- This App uses a one-time purchase through Google Play Billing
- All purchases are processed and secured by Google Play
- Refunds are handled by Google Play (standard 48-hour window)
- We store your purchase token locally to verify license validity only
- We do not process refunds directly; contact Google Play Support

By using Pilot Dashboard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
