Hi, I’m Ross Tyler a life long Stoney Laker and the pilot behind Flying Rooster Drones. I’ve been flying drones for over three years, both recreationally and competitively. In my free time, I love getting outdoors, flying with friends, and racing against some of the top drone pilots in the world. At my High School in California, I’m the captain of the 2025 National Championship winning Drone Soccer Team and will be representing my country in the World Championships in China in November 2025. Drone Soccer is a sport that is growing rapidly and incorporates complex piloting, stragey and engineering. In 2024 I ran a series of successful Drone Academies on Stoney Lake to introduce these skills and this technology to groups of kids.
Flying drones is more than a hobby—it’s my passion, and I try to bring that energy and experience to every flight. I am licensed to fly drones for recreation and commercial use in Canada.
