• Its trade-off is that it is strictly limited to vehicles with factory roof rails and cannot be used on standard pickup beds.
• SOENBOO Truck Pickup Bed: This unit shines in raw utility, offering an adjustable width and height range that allows it to carry oversized loads like plywood or long pipes extending far behind the tailgate. Its main limitation is that it requires a tow hitch receiver and does not utilize the vehicle's roof structure.
• Who each pick is for: Choose FLYCLE if you own a 2014–2023 Jeep Cherokee and need to transport items over the cab. Choose SOENBOO if you drive a compatible pickup truck and need to haul extremely long or heavy cargo that simply won't fit in the bed.
Whether you have the Latitude, Limited, Trailhawk, or High Altitude trim, this rack is designed to bolt directly onto your existing roof rails. It isn't a universal adapter; it is a precision fitment tool. The design philosophy here centers on maximizing the usable space above your vehicle without compromising the structural integrity of the car itself. By utilizing the factory rails, you avoid the need for drilling holes into your roof, which is a major plus for anyone worried about rust or resale value.
What makes this product particularly compelling for outdoor enthusiasts is the combination of load capacity and noise reduction. Many budget roof racks are flimsy plastic affairs that rattle violently at highway speeds. FLYCLE counters this by using an upgraded metal lock system instead of cheap plastic, ensuring durability against the elements and potential theft. More importantly, the crossbars feature an aerodynamic profile. When you are driving fast with a kayak or a bulky roof box strapped on top, that shape cuts through the air rather than catching it. This means less wind resistance and significantly less cabin noise, making long road trips to the coast or the mountains much more pleasant.
This product is ideal for the Jeep owner who needs to move gear that simply doesn't fit inside the cabin. You can securely transport surfboards, canoes, bicycles, skis, ladders, or large roof bags. The 300-pound limit is substantial enough to handle multiple heavy items simultaneously, provided they are balanced correctly. However, if you do not own a Jeep Cherokee within the specified year range, or if your vehicle lacks factory-installed roof rails, this is not the solution for you. It is also worth noting that while it offers anti-theft protection via its metal locking mechanism, it remains a roof-mounted solution, meaning you must still secure your cargo properly with straps.

The SOENBOO Truck Pickup Bed Extender serves a completely different purpose, catering to the practical needs of pickup truck owners who regularly haul oversized materials. This isn't about putting things on top of your cab; it is about extending your cargo area backward. The defining feature here is its ability to add four feet of length to your truck bed. If you are trying to carry an eight-foot ladder, a sheet of plywood, or a long canoe that hangs out of the back of your truck, this device solves the problem by bridging the gap between your tailgate and the hitch receiver. It transforms a standard truck bed into a trailer-like platform for extended loads.
Versatility is the core selling point of this unit. It is not a fixed-length bar; it adjusts in both width and height to accommodate different types of cargo. The width can be set anywhere from 34.7 inches to 48.5 inches, allowing it to fit narrow pipes or wide planks securely. Similarly, the height adjustment ranges from 14.8 to 20.3 inches horizontally, or it can be deployed vertically to reach heights of up to 60.4 inches. This flexibility means one device can handle everything from a single bicycle to a stack of lumber. The construction focuses on stability, featuring a sturdy locking mechanism to prevent goods from sliding during transit, along with high-tenacity nylon tie-down straps and metal hooks to keep cargo tightly secured against the frame.
This product is perfect for contractors, DIYers, and adventurers who need to transport long, heavy items that exceed the dimensions of their truck bed. The 800-pound load capacity is staggering compared to many roof systems, making it capable of handling heavy machinery parts, large batches of building materials, or multiple heavy watercraft. However, it comes with significant constraints. First, you must have a compatible towing hitch receiver on your truck. Second, because it extends so far behind the vehicle, it will block your rearview camera and taillights unless you use proper lighting extensions (which are often sold separately). Finally, while it folds down for storage, it is a bulky piece of equipment that takes up space in your garage when not in use. It is not designed for daily commuting or light grocery runs; it is a workhorse for heavy hauling.
• Best for extreme weight capacity → SOENBOO wins decisively with an 800-pound rating, compared to the FLYCLE's 300-pound limit.
• Best for reducing wind noise → FLYCLE utilizes an aerodynamic design to cut through air, while SOENBOO creates a large surface area that generates significant drag and noise at speed.
• Best for carrying long items → SOENBOO is superior for anything longer than 8 feet, as it physically extends your truck bed by four feet, something a roof rack cannot achieve.
• Best for installation simplicity → FLYCLE installs in 10-15 minutes without tools or drilling, while SOENBOO requires mounting to a hitch receiver and adjusting multiple moving parts.
• Best for security features → FLYCLE includes an integrated metal anti-theft lock system, whereas SOENBOO relies on external tie-down straps and hooks to secure cargo.
• Best for storage convenience → FLYCLE sits flush on the roof when not in use (though still visible), while SOENBOO folds flat but requires significant floor space in your garage due to its size.
The aerodynamic design and the ability to mount it directly to the factory rails without drilling make it a seamless addition to my vehicle. It feels more integrated and less obtrusive than adding a massive hitch extender.
However, if I owned a pickup truck and frequently hauled lumber, ladders, or other long materials, I would immediately choose the SOENBOO Truck Pickup Bed. The sheer 800-pound capacity and the ability to extend my cargo bed by four feet provide a level of utility that a roof rack simply cannot match. For heavy-duty hauling, the SOENBOO is the superior tool. Ultimately, the choice depends entirely on whether your primary need is roof cargo or extended bed space.
It is not a universal fit and will not work on other brands or even other Jeep models outside this year range.
The SOENBOO creates a large, flat surface area that catches significant wind, resulting in higher noise levels and reduced fuel efficiency compared to sleek roof racks. It is best suited for slower, heavy-hauling trips rather than high-speed travel.
Yes, the SOENBOO has an 800-pound capacity and an adjustable width up to 48.5 inches, making it capable of holding two kayaks side-by-side or a single very wide load, provided they are secured with the included straps.
