Where can i stay locally?

There are many hotels nearby that you can book with for the festival. We would recommend:

Is car parking available on site?

Car parking is available on-site for use by participants. The sat nav address is: King Edward VI Boys School; Edgbaston Park Road B15 2UA.

How can i access by public transport, walking and cycling?

The venue is located in Selly Oak, approximately 3 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. 

If you are travelling to Birmingham City Centre by train, we would recommend continuing to the venue by train. Ruddock Performing Arts Centre is a 15 minute walk from University Railway Station, which is a 5-10 minute train journey from Birmingham New Street Station. Services operate approximately every 10 minutes throughout the day, and tickets can either be purchased online in advance, from mobile apps, or on the day from ticket machines in the station. Alternatively, you can travel by bus, using the 61 and 63 services (via A38 Bristol Road, 11 minute walk from the venue), X22 or X21 services (via Edgbaston Park Road, 7 minute walk from the venue) or 47 and 45 services (via Pershore Road, 15 minute walk from venue). If you have booked hotel accommodation in Longbridge, you can get to the venue within 30 minutes by public transport. You can either travel by train to University Railway Station (15-minute train journey), a 15-minute walk from the venue, or by bus (22-minute bus journey, number 63 bus ) and a 7-minute walk from A38 Bristol Road to the venue.

Where can i get refreshmentS from during the festival?

Light refreshments (hot/cold drinks) will be provided throughout the day for participants as part of the ticket cost. You will need to bring food/additional drinks with you, or make use of food outlets at the University of Birmingham during the lunch breaks. 

Maps of local facilities will be provided as part of your registration pack, on the day.

What do I need to bring with me?

Aside from your flute(s), we would also recommend bringing a music stand. All music required for the warm up sessions, and workshops will be provided as part of your registration pack, on the day.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE CONCERTS FOR FRIEnds and family?

Unfortunately, the concerts held during the day will be for participants of the festival only. This will give participants the change the perform flute choir repertoire with other groups, and showcase what they have learnt in workshops throughout the day, within the capacity constraints of the venue.

are tickets refundable?

Tickets will not be refundable, in line with the booking terms and conditions for the venue.
