Experimental Search of Definitions

Fluent includes an experimental feature for searching definitions. It is simple to use, but you need to understand how it behaves.

Add a plus sign + to the beginning of the search input field, followed by the word you want to find in the definitions.

For example, if you type into search the following +run it will search all definitions for the characters "run" in all definitions and return the results, such as:

  • adjusted: altered to accommodate to certain requirements or bring into a proper relation; "an adjusted insurance claim"; "the car runs more smoothly with the timing adjusted"

  • back-to-back: one after the other; "back-to-back home runs"

Things to keep in mind:

  • This feature is not intended to be used with the Advanced Word Search patterns.

  • The search pattern should include the raw text to search for, including characters that have special marks. For example, if you want to search for all occurrences of tržište which contains two non-english characters, you would need to type in search +tržište not +trziste. Where as normal search accepts both English and non-english characters.
