Singular SPDEs, Stochastic Fluid Dynamics, and Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics
This conference will bring together experts working on singular SPDEs, stochastic fluid dynamics, and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. In the last years, all of these fields have seen significant progress: In singular SPDEs, the theory of regularity structures has established a robust framework for subcritical equations. Beyond subcriticality, new results have opened avenues toward the understanding of critical and supercritical regimes. In stochastic fluid dynamics, major breakthroughs have established turbulent scaling laws in the context of stochastically forced fluid flows. In nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, recent advances have established new rigorous links among interacting particle systems, macroscopic fluctuation theory, and conservative fluctuation SPDEs, while universality results for KPZ-type systems and quantitative justifications of Dean–Kawasaki models have clarified how microscopic dynamics generate continuum fluctuations. This conference aims to foster an exchange of methods and perspectives across these areas and to identify common structures governing fluctuations, transport, and universality in spatially extended nonequilibrium systems.
