Effective Date: March 9, 2026
FlowReader ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information FlowReader collects, how we use it, and your choices.
Book files and reading content that you import into FlowReader.
Reading data you generate in the app, such as reading position, bookmarks, preferences, and reading session statistics.
If you choose to use referral features or Sign in with Apple, FlowReader creates an account record for your app profile. This may include:
a Firebase Authentication account identifier,
Sign in with Apple account details shared with us by Apple (such as your email address, if Apple provides it),
your referral code,
the referral code or inviter attached to your account,
referral progress, reward claims, and related timestamps,
import-credit balances and referral-earned premium reward status.
We collect limited, pseudonymous analytics to understand app performance and feature usage using Firebase Analytics. This may include:
app version and build number,
feature and usage events (for example: app opened, import started/succeeded, onboarding completed, purchase flow outcomes, referral link opened, referral reward claimed),
reading-session metrics (for example: session duration and reading speed),
a random anonymous analytics identifier stored on your device.
We do not use analytics to directly identify you by name, email, or phone number.
If you purchase premium features, or claim a premium referral reward, subscription and entitlement processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We may receive subscription status and purchase-related metadata (for example, whether premium access is active) needed to unlock paid features and apply referral-earned rewards.
We use Firebase services, including Firestore and Cloud Functions, to store and process referral/account records, import-credit balances, and reward claims. These backend records are used to:
validate referral eligibility,
prevent duplicate or fraudulent reward claims,
keep referral progress and claim history consistent across devices,
apply rewards such as additional personal import credits or referral-earned premium access.
If iCloud sync is enabled on your device/account, FlowReader can sync app data and imported book assets using Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud database.
We use information to:
provide core reading features,
save and restore your library and reading progress,
create and maintain referral-enabled accounts when you choose to sign in,
validate referral claims and unlock referral rewards,
sync your content across your Apple devices (when iCloud is enabled),
process premium entitlement access,
improve app quality, reliability, and performance.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with service providers only to operate FlowReader:
Apple (App Store billing, iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure),
RevenueCat (subscription and entitlement management),
Firebase / Google (authentication, product analytics, and referral/account backend infrastructure).
These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or remove the app.
iCloud-synced data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it or disable iCloud for FlowReader.
Analytics, referral/account, and subscription-related records are retained as needed for product operation, reward processing, fraud prevention, debugging, and legal compliance.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
You can:
stop using FlowReader at any time,
disable iCloud for FlowReader in Apple settings,
remove imported books and related reading data from the app,
manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings,
sign out of your referral-enabled app account at any time from the Account screen.
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights (for example, access or deletion rights). To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details below.
FlowReader is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own by our service providers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised Effective Date.
