FlowKeeper is a browser focus assistant that helps you notice and redirect distraction. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and what is never collected.
FlowKeeper does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server.
The extension has:
No backend
No database
No analytics
The developer has no access to any information about you or your browsing activity.
FlowKeeper stores the following information locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:
Your list of custom distracting domains
Any built-in domains you have removed
Your Focus Mode on/off preference
Your chosen snooze duration
This data never leaves your device and is used solely to make the extension function according to your preferences.
FlowKeeper reads the URL of your active tab in real time to determine whether it matches a distracting domain.
This check occurs entirely within your browser.
FlowKeeper does not:
Record URLs
Save page titles
Store browsing history
Log browsing activity
Transmit browsing data anywhere
No browsing data is collected, stored, or shared.
FlowKeeper uses the following Chrome permissions:
Used to detect when you navigate to a new page and evaluate whether the active site is distracting.
Used to save your settings locally in the browser.
Used to inject the focus overlay into a page when needed.
Used to read the current tab's URL when you open the extension popup.
Required so the extension can operate on any website, including custom distracting domains that you add yourself.
No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.
FlowKeeper does not share any data with third parties.
The extension does not use:
Analytics services
Advertising networks
Tracking technologies
External APIs
FlowKeeper does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this Privacy Policy is updated in a future version of FlowKeeper, the revised version will be published with an updated effective date.
Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
