Casual Shop Assistants
Casual Shop Assistants
We are currently seeking casual shop assistants to cover our opening hours on a flexible basis. The working hours are based on what works for you, at a competitive hourly rate of ((2 Galleons per hour)). We are seeking exceptional employees with excellent customer service skills, and passion for books/publishing.
Personal Specification:
Have a love for books, talking about books, and learning about our stock
The ability to recommend books and be passionate about customer enquiries
Be approachable and professional and have a positive and inviting attitude
Be comfortable working on a team as well as lone working in the shop
Have the ability to retain and reference information from multiple sources.
Be punctual and reliable.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service as the face of Flourish & Blotts, answering customer enquiries and making suitable recommendations
Shelve books and ensure that the store is well merchandised and attractive
Accurately perform cashier duties and cash handling
Assist with stock management and processing book orders
Keep up to date with current and bestselling books as well as upcoming publications
Assist with author events, promotions, and special displays
General light housekeeping including dusting and tidying
