RESERVATION DEADLINE: Friday April 10th to pay for luncheon!!

At this Friday’s meeting you will be able to reserve your place for our Spring Luncheon held on Friday April 24, 2026 at the Idlewild Country Club, 19201 Dixie Highway, Flossmoor, IL 60422

by writing a check made out to Flossmoor Book Club. The cost is $50 per person. Your guests (example: husband, friends and adult children) are welcome also at $50 per person.

Seating tables of 8: Table Sign-up lists will be provided at this FBC March General meeting. So sign-up as soon as possible.

If you can not attend this meeting but would like to pay for the luncheon, mail your check to:

Guests (one meeting per year) are welcome. A $2.00 fee will be charged for your guest which can be applied to their membership fee if they join that day.

The Guest Policy has been updated. After January of the current season, if a previous guest would like to attend the February or March meeting, they must pay $5 for the additional meeting then pay for the following year's membership dues. Questions?

FBC Information

Flossmoor Book Club (FBC) is UNIQUE.

The objective of FBC is to stimulate interest along literary and cultural lines in current books through book reviews, speaker programs and a lending library.

FBC’s membership includes members from many south suburban towns and northwest Indiana.

Meeting Info

Meetings will be held on the 2nd FRIDAY of the month from 1 pm—3:30 pm during the months of September through March excluding the month of January. A closing luncheon is held in April.

FBC meetings take place in the Fellowship Hall of the FLOSSMOOR COMMUNITY CHURCH.

FLOSSMOOR BOOK CLUB is NOT affiliated with any religious organization or the Flossmoor Library!!

Past meeting speakers and presenters have included authors, storytellers, educational actors, poets, and book reviewers.

Membership

Your **$35 membership dues may be paid at the beginning of the September General Meeting and entitles you to:

admission to meetings
receive a detailed program of the year's events and club organization info
email updates and reminders
inclusion on the membership list
checking out books from the FBC library
participation in the book check-out raffles
share a social hour filled with wonderful refreshments and conversation
first dibs on the annual book sale
hear book reviews of FBC owned books
listen to outstanding speakers share their knowledge

ALSO Each member is asked to bring a treat such as cookies, cheese & crackers, fruit or other delectable items to ONE meeting.

The treat you bring should be enough for 48 people and can be store-bought or home-made.

Judy Nolan & Leslie Toner, Co- Refreshments Chairs, have a sign-up binder available at each meeting.

**Dues must be paid by the October 9, 2026 meeting to be included in the Membership Directory and to continue to receive emails and member updates,
**It is recommended that you pay by check so you have a record of your payment. No membership card or receipt is given. Cash will also be accepted.

Flossmoor Community Church Driving Directions and Parking

(Not the Flossmoor Community House (white)) Please use the cross streets (Carroll Pkwy and Hutchison Rd) or the Community House Address (847 Hutchison, Flossmoor) to find us easily.

Parking

Parking is available in the lot across the street from the church or on the streets surrounding the church.

Handicap Parking
Parking is available in the Community House Lot, behind the church in the parking lot (enter on Travers Lane), and along Travers Lane. The front entrance ramp and an elevator make the church accessible to all.
