Committed to Native Landscapes: Nurturing Nature, One Project at a Time
We see immense potential in suburban landscapes and design our gardens with nature in mind. By embracing thoughtful design, we can enhance the ecological function of human-developed environments.
Whether you're ready for a full landscape transformation or prefer to make changes over time, we're here to help you bring your outdoor space closer to its native potential.
Our services include:
• Native plant-based landscapes
• Suburban pollinator meadows
• Edible forest gardens
• Lawn alternatives
One of the greatest challenges facing our landscapes and ecosystems is the rapid spread of invasive plants. These species form monocultures, outcompeting native plants and reducing the biodiversity that supports healthy ecosystems.
We prioritize invasive plant management as a crucial part of our work, using best industry practices to control their spread. By doing so, we create space for native plants to thrive, helping to restore balance and maximize biodiversity in the landscapes we care for.
Once invasive plants have been removed from your landscape, the next step is replanting with a diverse native plant community to restore the land’s health and ecological function.
This holistic approach goes beyond just removal—it ensures the environment is nurtured back to its natural balance, supporting biodiversity and resilience for the long term.
Our seasonal cleanup services are designed to keep your landscape healthy, beautiful, and ecologically balanced throughout the year. We focus on both aesthetics and sustainability, ensuring your outdoor space thrives in every season.
Spring Cleanup
As the growing season begins, we prepare your landscape for fresh growth and renewed vitality. Services may include:
General Cleanup – Removing sticks, branches, and debris accumulated over winter.
Perennial Cutbacks – Trimming back last season’s growth to make way for new spring blooms while preserving habitat through winter.
Mulching – Applying mulch for weed suppression, moisture retention, and a polished appearance.
Fall Cleanup & Leaf Recycling
Rather than hauling leaves away, we embrace nature’s cycle by reintegrating them into your landscape. Services may include:
Leaf Recycling – Returning leaves to garden beds to enrich soil and support natural decomposition.
Perennial Management – Leaving select plants standing for winter interest and habitat while cutting back others as needed.
Final Touches – Tidying up beds, pathways, and lawns to prepare your landscape for winter dormancy.
By working with nature, we ensure your landscape remains vibrant, resilient, and low-maintenance throughout the seasons.
CREATE
We specialize in creating beautiful, sustainable native landscapes that harmonize with the local environment. With extensive experience designing and installing native rain gardens, pollinator gardens, and other eco-friendly projects, we’re passionate about fostering biodiversity and supporting the health of our ecosystems.
RESTORE
One of our proudest achievements has been restoring the Green Bay Trail in Glencoe, IL with The Friends of The Green Bay Trail organization over the past seven years. This project transformed the area into a thriving native prairie and woodland, showcasing the incredible potential of native plants to revitalize and beautify outdoor spaces.
MAINTAIN
Whether you're looking to create a vibrant pollinator habitat or incorporate a functional rain garden into your property, we bring expertise, creativity, and care to every native landscape we design. Let us help you turn your outdoor space into a sanctuary for both people and wildlife.
Due to growing interest, we’re excited to introduce a new service in 2025 that transforms traditional lawns into thriving native meadows and prairies.
Lawns are the single largest component of our suburban landscapes, making them a powerful opportunity for positive environmental impact. We believe in striking a balance—preserving the aspects of lawns we enjoy while adopting a more intentional, ecologically rich approach to their maintenance.
By rethinking the way we use these spaces, we can introduce higher-value native plants, support pollinators, and create landscapes that are both functional and beneficial to the local ecosystem.
