Basically I got a new wifi adapter. What I realized from this is that if wifi connection stalls at the right moment, then chrome will stay in loading limbo and stop receiving data. This is my general assessment of the situation.

My wifi adapter wasn't defective but it had throttling issues. Occasionally it would reduce bandwidth to a fraction of what it should be (to KBPS levels) and it would return to normal soon after. But I am assuming this sometimes messes with chrome. Getting a new wifi adapter solved the issue for me.

Since few days whenever I open chrome just after using it for 20-40 mins it just freezes ... the entire PC in the background works fine only the chrome freezes . I confirmed this by opening valorant while my chrome was stuck. Another thing is that when I open chrome tasks in task manager it shows it has 20..22...27...29 chrome tasks which is not done by me and when I expanded it alongside chrome it was also showing command prompt and shit. How do I fix it.

So far two of the websites I go to are now stuck in the checking browser settings. One keep asking if I am human, I do the check mark... and it then loops back a few seconds later to ask me again. Then the second website says it checking my browser and then says taking too long and starts over with the same result. I have shut off all my chrome extensions and the websites work in other browsers. Any ideas what's going on

I had chrome installed on my machine but never really used it. I've always been more of a firefox user. But with the YouTube 60fps only working on chrome I wanted to give chrome a shot. So I've downloaded the install file ("chromesetup.exe"; 64bit). The problem is that when I run the file I get stuck on this screen forever. Seriously, I've left that window open for over 24 hours and it never advances. I can't see it as an issue with my internet because while it was "downloading" I was using the internet for other purposes (YouTube video's, games, etc.) and my connection status (strength?) was never an issue

I keep having all Chrome downloads stuck at 100 percent even with Anti-Virus disabled. It's gone through multiple updates, and no change. And, in the folder it remains a temp file until Chrome is done with it. It takes minutes sometimes to complete.

You may occasionally see a Google employee comment on the subreddit. They can be identified by their blue "Verified Googler" user flair. Please note that these individuals represent their own opinions when participating in the subreddit, not Google's, unless it's explicitly stated otherwise.

I recently upgrading my computer to windows 10, and was having issues with google chrome, so I uninstalled the application. When I try to re-install chrome the installer gets stuck at "Downloading". I have waited a decent amount of time so I know its stuck. I have also tried deleted my temp files relating to chrome. I'm running a 64x win10 pc. I also tried running as administrator, it didn't make a difference... Anyone else have any other suggestions on how to solve this issue? Thanks!

I was stupid enough to download one of those installers that also install extra stuff with them and now chrome has a weird search engine (chromesearch.club) which redirects to google and it also changed the new tab menu. I cant change the search engine or the new tab menu on settings. How can I fix this? I tried performing a scan with malwarebytes and uninstall and reinstall chrome but it didnt work.

So, I got my first Chromebook, an Acer C720, yesterday (i'm in love with the OS btw) and I noticed Chrome Remote Desktop was stuck at the "Connecting..." screen that appears right before the part where you type the device's PIN. I couldn't found a fix anywhere and today I found the culprit fiddling with the settings.

Just updated to lineageos 20 and couldn't install chrome. Managed to install every other chrome app from the play store but when I try to install chrome it just stays stuck on pending. Any fix for this?

I know Reddit has its own shortcuts, so, say, if I disable "j" and "k" in Vimium for reddit.com, I can use those keys to iterate through comments, but it still doesn't do what I want because it's limited in these ways:

The hope in adding "reddit" to a search is that they'd get a discussion from end-users instead of some marketing blog or otherwise public relations material promoting a product.

So, in other words, using "reddit" to defeat the intended purpose of google, which is to present search-engine-optimized marketing material and paid ads.

So when you search for how to get some piece of software to work on some piece of hardware and put "reddit" in the search, you get the page on reddit where that content used to be but it's either been deleted or replaced with text about the protest.

You don't have to specify "reddit" in your search to see reddit results. Most definitely not. I've had at least half a dozen results over the last couple weeks that I tried to pull up but the subreddit was private. I have fallen back on Google's cache and been able to find what I needed there. I never included "reddit" in any of those searches.

Google has quietly become a fairly bad search engine and it has nothing to do with reddit. The amount of spam in the results is ridiculous. You can't even narrow a search anymore...you just get the same spam pages with the additional term tacked on to the same content.

Unfortunately, Reddit doesn't allow making corrections to usernames. You're only allowed to choose one username that stays forever. What you can do is create a new account with a new name. As we looked at our current awarding system, there was consistent feedback from redditors that stood out " particularly around the clutter from awards and all the steps involved with awarding content. We also learned that redditors want awarded content to be more valuable. With that, we are reworking how great content and contributions are rewarded on Reddit. We will have more updates to share soon.

and this is why I have over 196 reddit accounts, half of which have been banned from r/denver, r/askcarsales, r/miami. I've been banned for so many different reasons, mostly for calling out censorship of mods deleting opinions they don't agree with. I ran a bot before the great API depression that would repost things deleted by moderators. All of that stopped working when pushshift.io was kicked off reddit.

Or you can just fuck with reddit in ways that are entertaining. For example, post something useful to a technical problem somebody is having, then after a few people respond with posts like "oh that worked, thanks!" proceed to delete your post after like a month or so. Now reddit becomes that much more frustrating for casual users :)

You're confusing an egg with a chicken. The main reason why those technical solutions started to appear on reddit is because specialist forums where they used to be got buried by google under reddit in search results. Often to the point of getting pushed off the first page.

So after a while, techies moved to reddit, because you started finding actually useful answers there in addition to usual reddit garbage, and eventually a lot of techies ended up there. So now it has a massive bank of solutions.

In short, my point is that the users aren't actually the product, they're the main users of the stadium..the fans. The product is the shows that they host, just like reddit hosts the shows of various subreddits.

There's been at least a few reports from people claiming that they recently (in response to the changes) deleted their accounts and posts, and reddit reinstated them. It's hard to be sure that's true, though.

I spend a lot of time on redddit, and I really hope these protests succeed, even though they won't. This new move (intentionally eliminating third party apps by introducing comically high API fees) is incredibly anti-user and has pissed off most of their core users and mods. The mods are volunteer workers who basically make reddit able to exist. e24fc04721
