Studying life history and biodiversity patterns in response to global threats
Hey! My name is Florina Stanescu and I am currently a full-time researcher and PhD supervisor in the field of Biology at Ovidius University of Constanta. I study the biological and ecological processes shaping life-history trajectories and resilience in amphibians and reptiles under the framework of Life History Theory, with a special emphasis on populations living at the edges of their distribution/biological ranges and/or subjected to various sources of environmental stress. My wish is to generate knowledge that can lead to solutions for biodiversity conservation and sustainable human development.
