At Florida Service Dog Training, we specialize in creating deep, meaningful connections between you and your dog. Our unique, interaction-based training system is designed to empower your dog to perform essential tasks that enhance your independence and quality of life.
Unlike traditional training methods that rely heavily on treats or dominance, our system focuses on building a strong, cooperative bond between you and your dog. By understanding and aligning with your dog’s natural instincts and decision-making processes, we establish a high level of focus and reliability. This approach ensures that your dog responds effectively to both physical and emotional cues, providing the support you need in various situations.
Our training is structured in four distinct phases, each building upon the last to ensure a well-rounded and effective service dog:
Phase I: Foundation Building (14 Days)
Establishing a strong bond and altering the dog’s perceptions through specific interactions.
Phase II: Task Introduction (14 Days)
Introducing task-specific training while continuing to reinforce the foundational bond.
Phase III: Public Access Training (14 Days)
Exposing the dog to various public environments to ensure reliable performance amidst distractions.
Phase IV: Certification & Final Assessment (14 Days)
Finalizing training and assessing the dog’s readiness for certification.
Each phase is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals, ensuring a personalized training experience.
We believe in the lifelong partnership between you and your service dog. That’s why we offer a lifetime commitment to our service dogs. Any future training needs are included at no additional cost, ensuring that your service dog continues to meet your evolving requirements.
