I am a Professor of Economics, in particular Macroeconomics, at Leuphana University Lüneburg.

My research focuses on the areas of credit frictions and globalisation, innovation and international trade, as well as the influence of tax reforms on the export behaviour of companies. 

I am a research afilliate at CESifo, Principal Investigator of the Research Unit "International Division of Labour" funded by the German Research Foundation, and serve as associate editor of International Economics and Economic Policy. My work has been published in the International Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics and the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization.
