Jaimee is a high school student, published author, and music lover. Playing the guitar is one of her main hobbies, inspired by her favorite artists Paramore and Beabadoobee. She can’t live without at least one iced cappuccino per week!

Kaitlyn Birrane

Staff Writer and Submission Judge

Kaitlyn Birrane (she/her) is a poet and photographer from Baltimore, Maryland. She is currently pursuing a biochemistry major as a student at Bates college and hopes to become a marine biologist. She loves crocheting, watching movies, roller skating, and pufferfish.

Jaime Perry brings a deep passion for writing and the ocean. Her work explores the rhythm of tides and words, and has been featured in several magazines. Jaime brings both creativity and critical insight to the literary world, championing bold, evocative storytelling from emerging voices.

Catherine "Rin" Wu

Co-Editor-in-Chief, Editor, and Podcast Co-Host

Rin is a dedicated writer and artist who loves dabbling in most forms of literature and art! She also enjoys studying the sciences (especially biology), and keeps herself busy by folding origami flowers when bored. Her biggest dream is to one day work with/ for the MSF or the UN.

Alexis is entering their third year of high school with a huge caffeine addiction (think: coffee, matcha, and a ton of tea bags). Outside of bean and leaf juice, they absolutely adore writing, painting, baking, blasting a bunch of visual kei music, and more!

Riean Villar

Riean Villar is a lyrical prose writer and poet who signs her work online as Maeir Liv, meaning “one who shines life”. She enjoys writing about all that is seemingly mundane—spotlighting the little nuances settled within the grout of life’s milestones. She is also a Filipino college student studying Interior Design; exploring ways to turn her degree into another medium for storytelling. If she’s not up at midnight writing or working on design assignments, then she is likely sound asleep.

At 18 years old Ava has a passion for writing, reading, and editing. With a keen eye for detail and a love for storytelling, she enjoys helping bring creative ideas to life through the written word. Ava is dedicated to refining content and creating engaging narratives.

Brenna Tate

Brenna Tate is an aspiring author and poet whose hobbies include crochet, baking, reading, and running. Her favorite genre is horror and she’s always looking for a new book to read!

C.S. Cate

Staff Artist

Cate is a beginner artist based in the Philippines with a deep love for art and a particular soft spot for Surrealism. When she's not staring at the colors of the world around her, she gets stuck in her own little creative world; drawing, writing, sculpting, and painting.

K. Summers

Staff Artist

K. Summers is an artist interested in the practice of storytelling, passing down entertainment and knowledge from one to another. The medium they work most in is animation and digital illustration, but are also known to dabble in watercolour, taxidermy, and sculpture.

Iva is a high schooler from Jakarta who’s basically powered by creativity and chocolate chip cookies. When she’s not designing something, she’s probably journaling her thoughts, baking up something crazy, lost in a book, or deep into yet another Gilmore Girls or Brooklyn Nine-Nine marathon.

Katelyn Yao is a young writer and digital artist currently attending high school. She likes to study science and music, as well as read. In her free time, she loves playing piano/guitar, painting, and watching Ghibli movies.

To know her is to know that she likes sticking her nose under thriller or fantasy novels, trying out a new piece on the piano, or binge-watching random sitcoms and series–honorable mention to B99 and The Good Place. However all these things can't encapsulate who she truly is; to know her it to go where her pride and joy lies--her mind and faith.

Milena is a student that has little tolerance for reality and a big passion for all things of beauty, something she finds nearly everywhere she looks. Through Florescence Magazine she hopes to bring more of that beauty, depth, and inspiration into the lives of others.

Audrey has a passion for any kind of prose and sometimes poetry! She's gotten multiple Gold Keys in Scholastic and her work has been published in Vellichor Literary, Jardin Zine, and more. In her free time, she enjoys martial arts, digital art, and astronomy. When not writing or drawing, you can find her playing almost any word or rhythm game!

She’s a romcom writer, music enthusiast and 2010s autumn obsessed teenage girl. She finds joy and curiosity in collecting hobbies like playing guitar, sewing, songwriting, and analyzing indie films. Psychology and literature has always been her passion since she was young. There was never a time she didn’t ponder about the minds of others and try to express them into words.

Adishree Deshpande

Adishree Deshpande is a 15 year old published writer based in the USA. She loves to paint human emotions through prose and poetry. In her free time, she can be found rereading rom-coms and rewatching the same shows for the hundredth time.

Eon is a fiction writer with a primary focus on fantasy and slice of life. He enjoys philosophy and tackling the absurd complexities of day to day life. When he writes, he likes to have a cup of coffee, and he lives by the works of Kafka and Camus.

Sind is one of the team's graphic designers who is entering college for Communication. He is a lover of collecting trinkets and figurines, K-pop, watching shows, editing and meeting new people. He's always on Pinterest looking for something new and Photoshop, or Canva, are always a click away from his bookmarks tab.

Shams Athar is an artist based in Pakistan, working with abstracts made with oils. He has had his work recognized by organizations like The Little Art (with an exhibited work in NCA, Lahore), DNA, CASTO and HRCA. Aside from painting, he's passionate about physics, basketball, and speculating about Dazai Osamu.

She loves to spend her hours writing or painting, however when she isn't doing those, she could also be found playing cozy video games.

Sadie Swinney is an incoming freshman in college and an aspiring author currently working on an original novel. She loves escaping into fantasy worlds and romance plots when she’s reading and often pulls those elements into her own work. When she’s not reading or writing, Sadie can be found making music, sewing, and channeling her inner book character as a competitive archer.
