Welcome

I am a Predoctoral Researcher in Political Science at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), within the CATAI Project: Citizens' Attitudes towards Artificial Intelligence (PI: Aina Gallego).  My research focuses on technological change and its social and political effects, the role of social investment and Active Labor Market Policies (ALMPs) in promoting digital and social inclusion, and gender gaps. I work with survey and field experiments. 

I am also a member of the TransEuroWorkS Project (Horizon 2020), the REDES-AI Network, and the Institutions and Political Economy Research Group at the UB (IPERG UB).

In the second term of 2026–2027, between January and March, I will be a Visiting Researcher at Nuffield College, University of Oxford, hosted by David Rueda. I am very much looking forward to beginning this research stay within a new academic community. Previously, in 2025, I spent three months in Zürich as a Visiting PhD Researcher at the Institute of Political Science (IPZ) of the University of Zürich, hosted by Silja Häusermann. It was an intellectually generous and personally rewarding experience—offering valuable feedback on my work and a warm, collaborative environment to grow in, all while enjoying life in a vibrant and inspiring city.

By training, I am a political scientist, holding a BA and two MAs in Political Science. At the same time, I am strongly committed to interdisciplinary research and regularly draw on economic and sociological approaches in my work, convinced that many of the most interesting research questions benefit from cross-disciplinary perspectives. 

Finally, I am originally from Chile, a long and narrow country in the Global South, a background that has shaped my appreciation for creativity and subtle humor 🥳, as well as for completos 🌭 and the questionable joy of swimming in cold waters, like those of the South Pacific 🌊.
