Are atheists really unelectable in the US? Seemingly not according to this poll. In spite of the well held belief that Americans view ‘atheist’ as the worst trait in a presidential candidate, a record 60% now say they’d consider voting for an atheist! 🇺🇸

Script from the Middle sitcom =>
Look, Brick, when you're a man, you'll know.
There's no exact date.
You just, you know feel it.
So when did you know? [Inhales deeply.]
Well, I guess when I was 16 and my mom died.
Makes you grow up fast.
Is there another way? 'Cause I'd really rather not have to kill off Mom.
[Chuckles.]
You know, Brick, there is something.
In some cultures, a boy becomes a man when he learns how to take out the trash by himself and replace the bag.

More reasons to go outside!
By Correy Robertson , July 06, 2010 12:04 PM
At this time of year, all I can seem to think about is getting outside and enjoying the summer while it lasts! This article from the New York Times online just gave me one more reason to want to get out.
According to the article and studies done around the world recently, being outside amongst nature, especially trees and plants, may have some amazing health benefits - the most amazing being an increased immune function!
I can personally attest to the fact that being outdoors and enjoying nature really reduces stress. How can you be stressed when feeling the warmth of the sun even under the shade of a tree? Scientists also credit phytoncides, the airborne chemicals that plants emit to protect them from rotting with some human health benefits as well. One study in 2007 even showed that taking a nature walk actually can increase your white blood cell count.
What are your thoughts? Do you feel better after a long walk in the evening after work? I know I do. As always, keep in mind that while getting outside can be beneficial, you have to take the right steps to stay cool when it gets to be unbearably hot outside. Find your balance!
