I have now left academia and I am embarking on new adventures in engineering.
Until recently, I was a research fellow at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh (Scotland). Prior to that, I held some postdoc positions at McGill University and Laval University funded by IVADO, the DEEL project, Inter-Math-AI and NSERC. I graduated from my PhD from McGill University in 2021 in Computer Science and was supervised by Linan Chen (Mathematics and Statistics) and Prakash Panangaden (Computer Science).
In the past few years, I have been working on extending bisimulation to continuous-time processes such as Brownian motion and other processes where no notion of steps is involved. Initially, I looked at equivalences, and eventually metrics.
I also got involved in Machine Learning, more specifically theoretical guarantees for various models (VAEs and GANs) and for mixture of experts.
