Magenta

My fascination with magenta begins with my playing Animal Jam, circa 2013 or '14. 

Not to be confused with the magenta shade, slightly rosier in color, in the Change Your Look palette. According to common credence, magenta is the base color for in-game models. Glitched magenta items are models mistakenly assigned to an undefined color. The resulting item is untextured and fully magenta in color. Magenta, “mag,” items are often highly sought after. Official glitched items are scarce, some only having one in known existence. Official magenta items, those available from in-game stores, were released as an homage to its exorbitant color. In an attempt to take advantage of this color’s associated rarity, scammers have pawned off items of the same shade. Claims of offering a magenta item is not technically a falsity, however this color is universally synonymous to “glitched” in Animal Jam.
