Floral Focus Stacks is an exhibit of flower portraits comprised of 24 matted and framed 8 ½ x 11” close-up and macrophotographs. Flowering specimens that include native and non-native species were collected during 2020 and 2021 in Green Lake County, Wisconsin and arranged and photographed in the photographer’s study.
Accompanying each photograph is a label that identifies the common name, scientific name (genus and species), family, and habitat. Plant names are based on the latest nomenclature published online through the Online Virtual Flora of Wisconsin.[1]
Images featured in Floral Focus Stacks were captured with a Nikon D7100 DSLR camera mounted with Nikon’s AF-S Micro Nikkor 105mm 1:2.8 G ED VR lens.
Lighting was supplied by two wireless Nikon Speedlight SB-600 flash units mounted on separate tripods.
Exhibit photographs are printed on HP Premium Plus Photo Paper by a HP Envy 7640 All-in-One printer.
