What I did today:
Today I explored using Ansys FDTD. I learned the basics of setting up a simulation on Ansys and practiced everything form using different sources, monitors, structures, materials, etc. I followed along some introductory youtube videos on the subject in order to learn the material and what was available to me. I focused on making simulations where the structure was a sphere of varying materials, and in which the source was a plane wave with a wavelength start value of 200 nm and stop value of 700 nm. 

What I plan to do tomorrow:
Continue watching the youtube videos and expanding my knowledge  on optical simulations using Ansys.
