1. INTRODUCTION
Floom ("we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("user" or "you"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Floom"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
2. COLLECTION OF YOUR INFORMATION
We collect information about you to provide the Application's core functionality: data synchronization and account management.
A. Personal Data
When you enable cloud synchronization by signing in with Google/ Apple, we collect limited personal information:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile picture (URL)
This data is obtained directly from your Google account via the Google Sign-In service / Apple Sign-In and is used solely for account identification.
B. User-Generated Content
The Application allows you to create and store:
- Digital drawings and sketches ("Doodles")
- Text notes associated with your drawings ("Journal Entries")
- Image thumbnails of your drawings
- Content metadata (creation dates, stroke colors)
Cloud Storage:
While this content is created locally on your device, if you sign in, copies of your Doodles, notes, and thumbnails are securely transmitted to and stored in our cloud backend (Supabase) to enable synchronization across your devices and to provide data backup.
C. Local Preferences
We store certain application preferences locally on your device, such as your Theme choice (Dark/Light mode) and onboarding status. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
D. Device and Usage Data
Our backend service providers (Supabase) may automatically collect technical data necessary for connection and security, including:
- IP address
- Device type and operating system version
- Timestamp of requests
E. Analytics
We do not use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or Mixpanel) to track your behavior within the App. We believe in minimizing data collection to only what is strictly necessary for the App to function.
3. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect strictly to:
- Identify you and manage your account.
- Store and backup your drawings, notes, and data in the cloud.
- Synchronize your data instantly between your logged-in devices.
- Restore your data if you switch devices or reinstall the Application.
- Monitor system health and prevent abuse of our services.
4. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We strictly share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the Application:
A. Third-Party Service Providers
Supabase (Backend as a Service):
We use Supabase to host our cloud database and storage. All user data (profile info, drawings, notes) synced to the cloud is stored on secure servers managed by Supabase.
Google (Authentication): We use Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In to verify your identity.
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Storage Location: Your personal data and user-generated content are stored on secure servers provided by Supabase.
Encryption: Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.
Security Measures: We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
6. YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS
We provide you with full control over your data:
Right to Access: You can access all your drawings and notes directly within the Application.
Right to Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data. You can request this by contacting us at the email below. Upon request, we will permanently delete your account record, drawings, notes, and images from our Supabase servers within 14 days.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If you become aware of any data we have collected from children under age 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
