Effective September 30, 2026
Michael Martorella develops and operates FloofSync. This policy covers the CloudKit-only iPhone app, beta testing, privacy requests and support communications. Contact Support@Floofsync.com or 203-572-5783.
This version has no FloofSync account registration, hosted household sharing, subscription purchase flow, advertising or analytics SDK. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or track activity across other companies’ apps and websites.
You enter pet names, species, breed, weight and birthday; medication names, strength, instructions, schedules and supply; dose outcomes, amounts, timestamps, side effects and notes; and caregiver names, initials and roles. FloofSync uses these records to display schedules, record care, calculate summaries and inventory, prepare reminders and produce reports. Caregiver names are unverified labels, not accounts or invitations. Include another person’s details only when you are entitled to do so.
Display preferences, reminder choices and recent caregiver selections stay on your device. Unfinished drafts remain in memory while the app process stays open and are cleared when it closes or the iCloud account changes. FloofSync does not connect to Apple Health or request your contacts, location, camera, microphone or photo library.
Records are stored in the app’s database on your device. Cloud-connected stores also synchronize through Apple CloudKit in the private database associated with your iCloud account. This is not a public database or live sharing with other caregivers. FloofSync does not send these records to a developer-operated record server.
The app asks Apple for iCloud account status and an app-specific user record identifier. A derived account identifier stays in the device Keychain to prevent existing records from opening under a different account. We do not receive your Apple Account password. New stores may use local mode when no iCloud account is available; existing local and cloud stores do not automatically transfer between accounts.
Apple processes iCloud service information under its own privacy policy and your account settings. Device or iCloud backups may contain app data. Processing and storage locations depend on Apple and the services you choose and may be outside your country.
Notifications are optional. Disable reminders in FloofSync Settings or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings. Discreet reminders use generic text; other previews can show pet and medication names. Use discreet mode and iOS preview controls to limit what others see.
Apple handles Face ID, Touch ID and device-passcode authentication. FloofSync receives only the result, never your passcode or biometric templates. App lock is optional; protected record actions can still require authentication. Face ID permission can be changed in iOS Settings where available, and device-passcode authentication is supported.
FloofSync uses iOS Data Protection, Keychain storage for the lock preference and account association, and an interface privacy shield. CloudKit supplies Apple’s cloud security controls. These protections do not make a shared unlocked device private, and no system guarantees absolute security.
History reports and care summaries leave the app when you choose a destination in the system share sheet. They may include pet details, medication, caregiver names, outcomes and notes. Review the content and recipient. Recipient apps and exported copies follow their own practices and are outside FloofSync’s deletion controls.
Apple supplies CloudKit and device services. Support@Floofsync.com forwards messages to a developer-managed Gmail inbox. Google processes email content, attachments and delivery information to provide Gmail; email-routing services handle delivery. Our website is built with Google Sites.
Services engaged to process personal information on our behalf must protect it at least as strongly as this policy and applicable App Store requirements, limit use to the requested service, and maintain confidentiality. Apple’s and Google’s independent services and destinations you choose have their own policies.
When you email or call us, we receive the contact details, message and attachments you provide, including any app or device information. We use them to answer requests, troubleshoot issues and handle privacy requests. Share version information prepares only the app version, build and iOS version; it does not automatically send a report or include pet records. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or unnecessary private records.
The app contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. For App Store versions, Apple diagnostics depend on the applicable Apple sharing settings. TestFlight beta diagnostics work differently, as explained below.
When you visit our Google Sites website, Google may process your IP address, browser/device details, request activity and cookies or similar technologies to operate and protect its services. Processing also depends on site settings and any added analytics, forms or embeds. The website cannot access your private FloofSync device or CloudKit records. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
If you install a FloofSync beta through Apple TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash reports and beta usage information and shares them with us. These can include installation/session counts, app and OS versions, device details and identifiers, and crash logs. Your name and email may also be visible depending on how you were invited. This automatic TestFlight collection cannot be turned off while participating in the beta; you can stop testing in TestFlight.
Feedback and screenshots you submit through TestFlight are also shared with Apple and us and may identify you. Review screenshots for private records before sending. We use beta information only to investigate issues and improve FloofSync, not for advertising, and do not share it with third parties. Apple has its own TestFlight retention and privacy rules. See Apple’s TestFlight & Privacy notice for details and your data choices.
Copies of beta feedback and diagnostic reports that we download or receive for troubleshooting follow our support-retention rule: deletion within six months after the issue is resolved, except information still needed for an ongoing issue or a specific legal obligation. Data retained in Apple’s TestFlight systems follows Apple’s rules. Contact Support@Floofsync.com for requests concerning copies we hold.
Private pet and care records remain on your device and, for cloud-connected stores, in iCloud until deleted. Archiving or marking a record inactive does not delete it. You can edit records, share available reports, delete a pet with its history, or use Settings → Privacy, help & data → Erase all records. Erasure requires typing ERASE and authenticating. It removes pet, medication, caregiver and dose records and the local migration recovery copy.
Individual deletions also retire the app-managed migration recovery copy. Local database cleanup can be delayed by active readers or unavailable storage; Privacy & help shows a pending notice and a retry action. Cloud deletions need time to synchronize. Allow synchronization to finish before disabling iCloud or removing the app. Removing the app alone does not guarantee deletion of iCloud records. Device lock preferences and account association remain to prevent reassignment; other preferences may remain. Exports, recipient copies and independent backups are not erased.
Manage FloofSync’s iCloud access and stored cloud data using your Apple Account’s iCloud controls in iOS Settings. Disabling iCloud is not a deletion request and may prevent access to a cloud-bound store; it does not convert that store to local mode. Contact support before changing accounts if you need help preserving access.
We delete resolved support emails and attachments from our support mailbox within six months after resolution, except information still needed for an ongoing issue or a specific legal obligation. Longer retention is limited to the relevant information and purpose. Request earlier deletion at Support@Floofsync.com. Gmail’s deletion, recovery and backups have separate processes; mailbox deletion is not immediate removal from every Google system. Earlier development data, provider logs and backups have separate retention rules.
Email Support@Floofsync.com to request access, correction or deletion of information we hold, or to withdraw permission for optional future processing. We request only what is needed to verify your authority. Never send your passcode or Apple password. We cannot remotely read, restore or erase private device/iCloud records through a support email; use the app and Apple’s controls. Rights under local law remain unaffected.
Earlier development versions used Supabase for household accounts and sharing and Resend for sign-in email. These services may retain email addresses, account identifiers, display names, memberships, invitations, explicitly shared care records, authentication/request logs and purchase-verification records created during testing. They were used for sign-in, sharing permissions, security and access verification. This CloudKit-only version makes no requests to them and does not upload existing private iCloud records to them.
Installing this version does not delete earlier hosted accounts, revoke sessions or move hosted records into iCloud. Contact Support@Floofsync.com for access or deletion. Removing an owned household can affect other members; we will explain the applicable scope before processing. Provider logs and backups may persist under their retention rules. Any Apple subscription must be managed separately through Apple; this app does not cancel it.
We update the effective date when this policy changes. If a future feature introduces materially different processing, we will explain it and obtain permission where required. For questions or requests, contact Michael Martorella at Support@Floofsync.com or 203-572-5783.
