The classic red chicken! Rhode Island Reds are a popular breed for their awesome egg laying (up to 265 eggs/year!) of large, brown eggs and their incredible hardiness. It’s not uncommon for Rhode Island Reds to be at the top of the pecking order with a long reign due to their typically long lives (it’s hard to get a Rhode Island Red down!).
