Cream Legbar

Legbars are the original auto-sexing breed! Developed with a desire to sex chicks at hatch based on their fuzz color, this British breed came about in the 1930s at Cambridge University. Later Araucana DNA was added to create the Cream Legbar, an auto-sexing blue egg layer! These smart and friendly birds sport a small crest that looks like a toupee. They lay approximately 220 beautiful, blue, medium-sized eggs a year. Unlike hybrid Americanas or Easter Eggers, who have an approximate 10% chance of laying a brown egg instead of a blue egg, Cream Legbars are 100% blue egg layers!
