Buff Minorca

Looking for a rare and beautiful white egg layer? Check out the Buff Minorca! The Minorca originates from the Spanish Island of Menorca. Like other Mediterranean breeds the Minorca has an angular body shape, large floppy comb and a tendency to be flighty. Matching her stunning white earlobes, the Minorca is a good layer of large white eggs (up to 200 eggs/year)! The largest of the Mediterranean breeds, Minorcas tend to be gentle and active and will do best when given ample space to range. In 2023 we added a black Minorca to our urban flock and although she is very standoffish she is much less flighty then our Leghorn. Winnie's tall, angular body, long tail and bright white earlobes add a beautiful and unique look. I also enjoy her bright white eggs in the carton.
