FloatScore we respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app accesses, collects, uses, and shares. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
Push notification token and topic subscriptions. To deliver live score updates, the app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). FCM assigns the app instance a push token, and the app subscribes to topics for the teams and leagues you follow (e.g. favourite-team channels). This is required for the app's core update feature.
Content you request. When you browse matches, teams, leagues, statistics, or lineups, the app sends those requests (e.g. selected team, league, or match identifiers) to our servers so the content can be returned to you.
Technical and diagnostic data. Our servers automatically receive standard technical information needed to operate the service, such as IP address, request timestamps, and basic error logs used for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
On-device preferences only. Your favourite teams and leagues, display settings, onboarding state, and overlay preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded as a profile and there is no account system.
The app does not access your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or files. It has no user accounts, no social features, and no advertising SDKs.
Data is used solely to provide and maintain app functionality: delivering live scores and goal updates, serving the content you request, keeping the service secure and reliable, and fixing errors. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use data for advertising.
Google Firebase (push delivery). Push tokens and topic subscriptions are processed by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging under Google's privacy policy in order to deliver notifications.
Hosting and infrastructure providers. Our backend runs on third-party cloud hosting; these providers process technical data (such as IP addresses in server logs) only to operate the infrastructure on our behalf.
Sports data and image providers. Match content is compiled from our sports data provider (Bzzoiro). Team and league badge images load directly from the provider's image service, which will see standard web-request information (such as your IP address) when images load, as with any image on the internet.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid governmental request.
All network traffic between the app and our servers uses modern encrypted transport (HTTPS, including secure WebSockets). Push delivery uses Google's secured infrastructure.
Server request logs are kept for a limited period for security and reliability, then deleted or aggregated. Because there are no accounts, there is no account data to delete: uninstalling the app removes all on-device preferences, and you may contact us below to ask about any server-side data associated with your use. To stop push updates, unfollow teams/leagues, disable the floating window in Settings, or uninstall the app (this also invalidates the push token).
FloatScore is a general-audience sports scores app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Display over other apps (optional): used only to show the floating score window you enable. No screen content is read, recorded, or stored.
Vibration (optional): used only for goal-alert haptic feedback.
Internet: required to fetch scores.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected in a revised effective date above and, where appropriate, disclosed in the app or store listing.
