About FloatOn

FloatOn is an app for VESC-based Onewheel vehicles. It allows you to interact with the Onewheel, change settings and read important data. For questions regarding the app, privacy policy or suggestions, you can contact me at FloatOn.dev@gmail.com. Most likely, I will also respond to questions in the Floatwheel or Funwheel Discord servers.

The app is currently meant for VESC firmware 6.0 with Float Package v0.8 or v0.9 installed, v0.9 for the best experience.

About Me 

I am a 19 year old student, studying mechanical engineering. Making this app took a lot of time and effort. I made the app free because I want everyone to be able to enjoy it. I however would immensly appreciate donations. Please try the app out for yourself. If you are satisfied with how the app functions, you can donate money via PayPal. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

FloatOn requires certain permissions for location and bluetooth, these are necessary to connect to the Bluetooth device/VESC. I do not collect this data, nor do I share it with third parties.

Permissions

As stated above, FloatOn requires certain permissions to connect over Bluetooth. The following permissions may be asked (depending on SDK version / Android OS version):

Acces fine location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION), needed for the Bluetooth scan
Bluetooth connect (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT), needed to connect over Bluetooth
Bluetooth scan (BLUETOOTH_SCAN), needed to scan devices
Bluetooth admin (BLUETOOTH_ADMIN), needed for Bluetooth communication
Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH), needed for Bluetooth communication

All of these permissions are solely for scanning, connecting and communicating over Bluetooth to the VESC. As stated before, this data is not collected or shared.
