We collect local native willow, red osier dogwood, and cottonwood to weave floating wetland structures. The structure itself puts out roots and shoots and becomes living vegetation. 

In looking for buoyancy that is not plastic, a community member suggested birdhouse gourds. We are very happy to have this option!
