About Us
The Gummy Bears Team is a FIRST Lego League (FLL) robotics team from 2019-2023, our team is deeply rooted in the community of Westford, MA. Our unwavering commitment is focused on advancing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education within our local area.
Our guiding principle revolves around the creation of hands-on, mentor-supported experiences that have the power to be genuinely transformative. Our mission is to equip young minds with the enthusiasm and aptitude to thrive in the future by instilling a genuine passion for the domains of STEAM. We firmly believe that by infusing learning with excitement and interactivity, we plant the seeds for a lifelong love of STEAM disciplines.
We also oversee a Google group named "MA FLL Learn and Share" that eas a hub for Massachusetts FLL teams. You can find the group at https://groups.google.com/g/massfll.
Team Gummy Bears has won the FLL MA State Championship (1st place) in 2021 and 2022, and represented MA to attend the FIRST World Festival in Houston. The team won the “Robot Design Award” in 2022 and "Engineering Excellence Award" in the World Championship in 2022 and 2023 respectively.

Team Gummy Bears is dedicated to giving back to the community through a range of STEAM outreach activities, including workshops, demonstrations, and other community events. Each year, we engage with over 1,000 individuals through these community events. In addition to our outreach efforts, the team also offers a series of LEGO robotics “Learn & Share” activities to encourage more elementary and secondary school students to get involved in robotics. We are working with our community to make the coming years even more successful and to provide amazing opportunities to a group of enthusiastic and committed students.

Presented our project of "City Gondola for Boston" to Norman E. Day School in Westford, MA
2020-2021
Created a fitness app "Fitness Galaxy" for Norman E. Day school and motivated ~180 students to excise over 9,000miles during 4 months Covid time.

Presented our project of "Aerial Package Delivery System for Clustered Community" to Westford Select Board
