Effective Date: 28 July 2026
App Name: Flip To Mute
Developer: Droidnova
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how the Flip To Mute application (“the App”) accesses and handles information when you use it.
Flip To Mute is designed to detect when a cellular call is ringing and apply the user-selected silent or vibrate action when the device is placed face down.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
The App does not collect, store, upload, sell, rent, or share personally identifiable information such as:
Your name
Email address
Phone number
Contact list
Call history
Messages
Personal photos or files
Precise or approximate location
Microphone recordings
Call audio or call conversations
The App does not create user accounts and does not require you to provide personal information.
The App requests the READ_PHONE_STATE permission to determine the current state of cellular calls, such as whether a call is:
Ringing
Active
Ended or idle
This permission is used only to activate the flip-to-mute functionality while an incoming cellular call is ringing.
The App does not read or store:
The caller’s phone number
Caller identity
Contact details
Call history
Call duration records
Call audio
Call content
The App may use the device’s accelerometer sensor to determine whether the phone has been placed face down.
Orientation information is processed temporarily and locally on your device. It is not stored, uploaded, transmitted, or shared.
When monitoring is enabled, the App checks the device orientation as required to provide the selected flip-to-mute functionality, particularly while an incoming cellular call is ringing.
The App may request Notification Policy Access to apply the selected silent or vibrate action when the phone is placed face down during an incoming call.
This access may allow the App to temporarily control relevant sound, ringer, or interruption settings.
The App does not use this access to read the content of your notifications, messages, emails, or conversations.
On supported Android versions, the App may request permission to display notifications.
Notifications are used to:
Inform you that flip monitoring is active
Display the required ongoing foreground-service notification
Provide information about the App’s monitoring status
Allow you to understand when the App is operating
The App does not use notifications for advertising or promotional tracking.
When you enable flip monitoring, the App may run a foreground service so that the feature can continue working when the App is not open on the screen.
The foreground service is used only for the user-enabled monitoring of incoming cellular calls and device orientation.
An ongoing notification may be displayed while this service is active, as required by Android.
The foreground service does not record audio, access call conversations, track your location, or upload information to a server.
The permissions and device features requested by the App are used only for:
Detecting the state of incoming cellular calls
Detecting whether the device is face down
Applying the selected silent or vibrate action
Running monitoring while the App is in the background
Showing an ongoing monitoring notification
Restoring the appropriate sound setting after the relevant action, where supported
The App does not use these permissions for advertising, profiling, surveillance, or unrelated purposes.
The current version of the App does not request Internet permission.
The App does not send call-state information, sensor information, settings, or personal information to Droidnova servers.
The App does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or user-tracking SDKs.
The App does not sell, rent, trade, or share user information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
If advertising, analytics, cloud services, or other third-party services are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those services are introduced.
The App may store limited non-personal settings locally on your device, including:
Whether flip monitoring is enabled
Your selected silent or vibrate action
App setup or permission status
Other basic App preferences
This information remains on your device and is not sent to the developer.
Local App data can normally be removed by:
Clearing the App’s storage or data through Android settings
Resetting the App’s settings
Uninstalling the App
Depending on your device and Android backup settings, limited App preferences may be included in an Android system backup. Such backups are controlled by your device, operating system, backup provider, and the App’s configured backup rules. Droidnova does not directly receive this backup data.
You can grant or revoke permissions through your device’s Android settings.
You can also disable flip monitoring from within the App.
If you deny or revoke phone-state, notification-policy, notification, or foreground-service-related access, some or all flip-to-mute functionality may stop working correctly.
The App will not attempt to bypass your permission choices.
The App is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not require accounts or collect personal information, no personal child data is intentionally stored or transmitted.
If you believe that personal information has been provided through the App, please contact us so that the concern can be investigated.
The App is designed to process call-state and device-orientation information locally on the user’s device.
Because this information is not uploaded to Droidnova servers, the risk of a server-side data breach involving this information is reduced.
However, no device or software system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should keep their devices updated and use appropriate device security protections.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s functionality, permissions, legal requirements, or third-party services change.
Any revised policy will include an updated Effective Date.
Your continued use of the App after a policy update means that you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy.
