At FLIPS, we understand the invaluable impact of visibility to students. We aim to expand exposure to STEM opportunities in communities across the country.
Through FLIPS day/summer camps, campers gain hands-on experience in STEM.

Originally founded by high schoolers passionate about STEM education, FLIPS was born out of a shared commitment to making a difference. We saw the need for expanded access to STEM leadership opportunities and took action.

OUR BEGINNINGS
Jayden first discovered his passion for STEM when he began attending his district’s new STEM high school.
Despite living in a majority-minority county, he quickly noticed that the school’s student body looked very different from the schools he grew up in.
With encouragement from his teacher, Ms. Rachel Centeno (left), Jayden launched a STEM day camp to inspire younger students to apply to his school. The process was far from easy—under the guidance of his mentors, he navigated fundraising, logistics, conflict management, and countless other challenges.
Drawing on these experiences, Jayden now teaches students nationally how to create their own STEM day and summer camps.
