Flinders Island Pharmacy is proud to be part of the Extended Pharmacy Program, supported by the Tasmanian Department of Health, helping improve access to pharmacy services and healthcare for the Flinders Island community.

We understand that life doesn't always fit around traditional business hours. Whether you're finishing work at 5 pm, attending a late medical appointment, travelling home after a busy day, or arriving on the late flight, finding time to visit your pharmacy shouldn't be another challenge.

That's why we're here for you.

Healthcare that works around your day

Our extended opening hours mean more opportunities for the community to access essential pharmacy services when they need them.

Whether you are:

• Finishing work and unable to get to the pharmacy during standard business hours.

• Attending a late afternoon doctor's appointment and need your prescription filled.

• Arriving on the island on a late flight and need access to pharmacy services.

• Caring for family members and finding it difficult to visit during the day.

• Simply needing additional time and flexibility to collect your medication or speak with a pharmacist.

Living on Flinders Island comes with unique challenges, particularly when it comes to accessing healthcare services.

We recognise how important local healthcare is, especially in regional and remote communities where access to services can sometimes be limited.

Through this program, we are proud to contribute to a more accessible and responsive healthcare service for Flinders Island residents.

Our commitment goes beyond extending our opening hours. It is about being available, supporting our community, helping people access their medications and contributing to better health outcomes.

Extended opening hours:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Lunch break: 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm
