Procured from Danvers, the trader at the Roadside Encampment, the map purports to show the final resting place of Weyland, a paladin of renown, and his famous golden breastplate.
The King's Wizard Calias, a collector of enchanted and historical armour, translated the Old Corynthian text on the map. The script tells of Weyland, a famous paladin in the golden age of Corynthia, and was written by his unnamed companion. Weyland went missing some 200 years ago when hunting a fearsome beast somewhere in the north, and no trace was ever found of him, or his golden armour.
Weyland's breastplate was not enchanted but was nevertheless well known as being of fine quality, and made at least partially of gold. While supposed to be ceremonial, he wore it to intimidate his enemies and inspire his men.
The final woodland resting place of the Paladin Weyland, kept secret from those who would steal his famous treasure or defile his grave. Only those who would return his possessions to the Tarsian Knights and the lords of Corynthia should use this map
